We went with our friends for tea fish, chips, mushy peas, tatar sauce and bread and butter plus a drink all for £20 a couple. An absolute bargain. Excellent food and good service. We highly recommend. We then stayed and had a few more drinks good pub atmosphere.

Food service isn?t great at all. Don?t bring you a knife & fork out with your meal. If you order separately on the same table whoever orders first will have eaten their food before anyone else?s order comes out. Unfortunately I?m not impressed & it?s all frozen food

We attended a SKA music night here & although the music was fantastic the night was soiled by having to drink out of plastic containers which held less than the glasses and were charged full price plus the beer goes flat quickly in these and so wasn't ideal.

Really enjoyed this experience. Food was fab especially the chips, and well proportioned. Relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Will definitely return

Kid-friendliness: Play area for children , but they must be accompanied by a responsible adult .

A man walked up to the bar and the barmaid clearly saw him but walked off. The man stood at the bar for three more minutes. The landord was also sat at the bar the entire time. The man stood at the bar some more. The landlord sat at the bar some more. This went on for some time. The man then grew impatient and checked that the bar was still open with a man who had been sat in everyone's way at the bar all night and he confirmed that they were. We'll call him Wayne Kerr. Wayne shouted the landlord over. The man stayed stood at the bar. The barmaid came back to the bar and spoke to the landlord. The barmaid then walked off again. The landlord eventually went behind the bar and the man thought; "ah, at last, someone's going to serve me" he made eye contact with the landlord and was about to place an order at the bar. But, unexpectedly, the landlord started pulling a pint for Wayne Kerr and expected the man to wait a while longer. The man thought to himself for a nano-second He then turning round, picked up his coat and left. The man will NEVER return to this bar.

It?s good the boundary, they have a nice selection of beers (no real ale unfortunately ?)I make a point of visiting every few months, it?s near Guide Bridge Train Station so makes for a good post pint drink after Manchester.

I was at the boundary for my friends wake.If I had to go to another wake or someone's party in general I think this would be a great place to have it.
