Very disappointed. Ordered the vegan option. Apart from the sausages there wasn't one thing on the menu which actually appeared on the plate as everything had been substituted or just left off and not one word to offer something else. Good thing I ordered a bowl of chips or I would've been starving! The other half and a philly steak sandwich and also didn't think it was worth the money!

Came to the hotel earlier to see if our room was ready on the off chance or alternatively leave our bags, the guy at reception didn?t really offer he just said ?check in isn?t til 2pm? like we were stupid. I replied with I know but could we leave our bags? He seemed annoyed at us tbh.Room was decent, shame I didn?t check my messages and see that the restaurant was being renovated but that wasn?t a major deal. The room was a disabled room, which usually isn?t a problem but the bathroom was a major let down, wash room floor that needs cleaning, the shower was grimy, I had a very quick shower but it was off putting, faulty toilet handle and very strange smell, we should of asked to move rooms but we were so tired. Also no shelf?s in the bathroom? No where to put our toiletries.Windows not opening didn?t help the smell and I don?t think the air-con was even on.Bed was comfy at least. I paid for this as a treat to my mother but honestly for £142 I feel ripped off? The room was worth £40 max. Next time I?ll pay a well know hotel chain, at least I?ll get my moneys worth.Walkability: Close to the Arnedale

I visited this establishment for a Sunday roast and was thoroughly impressed. Opting for the mixed platter for two, I found it to be the finest example of such a meal in Manchester. For aficionados of Sunday roasts and a meat-centric dining experience, I highly recommend this venue. It unequivocally deserves a five-star rating.

Only had drinks this time. But we've eaten here on several occasions.Good standard of pub food.Great selection of beers and a historical feel.Staff are friendly. And you can take your dog.An update on decor is on the way as well.

We went for breakfast and it was not good. Our lattes were great, but when the food came out I was really disappointed. I ordered poached eggs with smashed avocado on toast. My poached eggs were cooked fully, the toast was a small slice of cheap white bread rather than the sourdough bread I'm used to, and the avocado "spread" was brown and a very thin layer. It was really unappetizing and would not recommend this restaurant in general. There are much better options in the area.
