This supermarket had gone downhill this year. The new checkout machines make it difficult. Why, do they like to recruit students who are lazy.

The mens toilets here have been out of order since at least August. It?s now December. What is going on?!

Went to the Droylsden store over the weekend, bought some loose potatoes and weighed them out and retrieved the price sticker. Got to the self checkout to find that the scanner wouldn't take the sticker price, miserable staff member said I had to weigh them on the checkout scale and then wandered off. Checkout scale wouldn't work, called for Little Miss Miserable again who was chatting to a colleague it was obvious that I didn't matter as she carried on chatting until I called her again. She eventually told me the scales at the checkout were broken and had been for weeks so I would have to use another checkout. Asked her why she hadn't told me that at first and age just wandered off to chat with her mate again. Another issue was there were only 4 self checkouts in operation and 4 closed. The staff member told me with only one staff member working in the self checkout area they were only allowed to work on 4.
When I pointed out the colleague leant against the barrier she was chatting to she said that she was on her break.
1) Customer service from Little Miss Miseable (thin faced dark haired lady around 40yrs with glasses) was non existent.
2) If as she said the scales have been broken for weeks and the scanner wouldnt work on the self weigh stickers why have the managers not got them fixed.
3) Maybe some staff member could do with monitoring by management and their customer service skills improved

It's alright, although the self service checkouts, the staff are appealing. All they do is talk to other colleagues and take ages to check the machine when it beeps.

This 5 star goes especially to Josh in customer services. Not only were his customer service skills exemplary, but he also kept my keys safe when I forgot them in store. Thanks again Josh!

So , I've been to quite a few different tesco superstores around the uk.
Lets be real , there are SIGNIFICANTLY worse stores than this one.
The store is clean enough , they are 'usually' well stocked ... the variety of stock in comparison to other stores however is limited.
But I just persume certain stores get more funding I'm not sure.
Although, make sure you bring a book or something when you're at self-service because some of the staff do enjoy a good chit-chat.. so if your machine is popping off, you might be waiting a while.
Although.. it's usually just the younger staff there are some very friendly staff members I can't be that harsh.
The security are sweet guys. As aposed to some security guards who are just ratchet.
All in all .... yeah, pop in and do your shopping the only irritating thing in here you'll experience is everyone else lol ?
The shop itself is pretty solid.

I'd rushed here after work to answer an urgent need, and although I was shocked to find the gents "out of order"! Thankfully I sought the assistance of a young lady namely Lera. She sort of went the extra mile, thought outside the box and removed the barrier, went to check in the Ladies, and said you can use these.
That set the trend for this visit....
I progressed around the store and at each occasion of asking I was given help. This actually caused me to spend more, but with the clubcard discount( a facility that I really like and gives genuine saving! unlike other stores who's discount are much harder to earn ie savings are earned at point of sale! ) I waa getting quality produce at a great price).
The assistance I was given at the self service checkouts by Oliver and a young lady was excellent, didn't catch the young ladies name( I'll just say "Shukriya" that's a clue!). They led me through the process, the young lady downloaded the app for me (Tesco/ Clubcard) and led me through the process to achieve the discount. Thanks Guys!!!
Suffice to say a very happy customer and that good savings can still be found!

I went in because I was passing and had forgotten to buy tomato juice during a shop elsewhere a couple of days before. I bought it ; it was 10p/litre cheaper than my usual brand but tastes as much of cardboard as of tomato ! I won't buy there again !

Nice place for shopping- has Krispy Kreme Donuts, a Costa Machine. And a Greggs is not too far away from it. One issue is the lack of Chocolate Twists, individual croissant, et cetera, like what they have in the Express Stores. I want to be able to go to my local Tesco, get a pastry for my Meal Deal, and save it for lunch.

Staff are very unhelpful and will pass you to another of their colleagues because they can?t be bothered themselves
