Staff are all miserable, the place is an absolute dump and it smells horrendous. The place gives off an almost dystopian vibe. The staff are half dead and the place is a messShould just shut it down

I was terrified it was going to lose its signature off milk smell in the renovation. Thank god I was wrong ?

Newly refurbished but still smells like stale milk.

Closed for a few weeks to refurb and somehow the place still stinks around the milk aisle. Half the staff seem to inhabit another realm. Absolutely naff Tesco, go to the co-op down the road.

Often closed for 30 minutes or more due to ?lunch break? with little to no signage at all times of the day. Zero signage or warning about ?temporary closure for refurbishment? recently. Unhelpful staff turning customers away with no suggestions or directions. Probably the most poorly managed Tesco express in the country.

Just wanted to say thank you to Tesco Express (Burton Road, West Didsbury) for saving my Christmas Dinner!I'd done my big shop with a different supermarket, and when it arrived on the 23rd Dec there were several items missing and 24 substitutes - including parsnips, sprouts, and various other essential Christmas Dinner components. I'm disabled and find it difficult to visit shops in person, so I thought my Christmas dinner was ruined.I decided to try Tesco Whoosh; it was very straight-forward to use and very luckily I was able to order everything I needed, even though I was shopping at short notice. A friendly delivery driver delivered my emergency shopping to me within 15 mins, and the staff had even written a festive message on the stickers on the bags. Everything is good quality and good value for money too. Many many thanks to the staff at Burton Road for rescuing me in my hour of need - next year I'll start shopping at Tesco! Merry Christmas and best wishes for the New Year.

Probably the most grim Tesco's in the gentrified southern suburbs of Manchester. It's dirty, automatic doors never work and it's just not up to scratch with what you expect from Tesco's.

Lovely tesco and staff, always a treat to see Ezra around

The bad reviews are outdated, there is no stinky staff anymore and the place doesn?t smell bad either. The staff are extremely friendly and always ask for your clubcard. Yes, its expensive but its a convenience store so what do you expect. The staff are always willing to help if you have a problem. If you forget to scan your clubcard they can give you a refund, many people don?t know this and feel ?scammed? afterwards. Remember it?s also your responsibility to show/scan your clubcard!

Staff too busy chatting to their mates to ask you for your clubcard which I've then realised cost me an extra £5 after getting on the tram. Not to mention your whole clubcard system being required for discounts now is a joke. Wont be heading here again

Simple and straightforward convenience store

This Tesco is ok based on the range of produce and friendly staff. However the layout and general appearance of the store is very poor! It is hard to find the products you require and feels cramped. I will continue to shop here for convenience but not for pleasure.

'Homeless' people basically encouraged to sit outside. Except all they do is call you names as you walk in. Tesco itself usually has some sort of malfunction or smells like rotting food. Witnessed staff wolf whistling women. Just absolutely tragic this place. Avoid and walk to co-op.

i don?t like that man ??
June 2022 by Cj J
The guy with the long hair that ?doesn?t work weekends? in there every morning around 8, is the rudest and argumentative ?man? I?ve ever come across in that tescos, won?t be going again.
