Service can sometimes be brusque. Tesco own brand products can be poor quality.

I had a truly disappointing experience at Tesco Express recently. I went in to check a National Lottery ticket, which I had purchased from that very store ? something well within a customer?s right to do. What followed was 10 to 15 minutes of total confusion at the till. The staff clearly had no idea how to check the ticket. They kept fiddling with the machine, passing the ticket back and forth, and still couldn?t figure it out. In the end, rather than taking responsibility or even offering basic customer support, they rudely told me to go to another shop ? as if I was being a burden simply for using a service they are supposed to provide. As a customer, if I purchase a lottery ticket from your store, then I expect you to check it and payout any winnings (within the allowed limit). That?s the basic agreement of offering National Lottery services ? it?s not optional. If your team isn?t trained to handle this, then why even offer lottery tickets in the first place? What made things worse was the lack of courtesy. Not a single apology, no explanation, no effort to help ? just confusion and then dismissal. That?s unacceptable, especially coming from a brand like Tesco. I hope this feedback leads to better staff training, improved customer service, and accountability. Tesco customers deserve better than being made to feel like an inconvenience for something so simple and straightforward.

The girl with the preach/orange hair deserves a raise. She was doing a lot of stuff on her own and seemed to be doing almost all the work. Was also very helpful despite that, going above and beyond.

I was in Tesco Express, Oxford Rd, Manchester about an hour ago. The temporary manager there called Louis went beyond the call of duty with the assistance he gave me.
Well done, Tesco! Make sure his job becomes permanent or else you may lose a treasure....

I only payed a quick visit to pick up a newspaper for my dad but this Tesco looks like a good and well stocked store.it is well located on Oxford Road close to the university and campus so gets very busy at times.the staff were very pleasant and the store looked clean.the store has easy disabled access but could be difficult to get around in busy periods.there is plenty of public transport nearby as well.

Some members of staff in this shop are extremely rude!In particular a male staff member who I've often seen on the self checkout tills has a very poor attitude and no respect. As a student he has made me not want to enter the store again after rudeness multiple times.

One of the staff was extremely rude to me for no reason.I'm a daily customer in this store, and usually I use a self service checkout as it's quicker. This time I had some cash and I needed a cashier.A banknote was slightly damaged so cashier refused to take it, which is OK. I gave her another banknote and asked what I should do with the one she didn't accept. She arrogantly said: "You can ask a bank to replace it. *It's not my problem*". I called her out that phrase "it's not my problem" is rude and unacceptable, but she looked at another cashier and made a face expression that she was annoyed by me calling her out. This shop lost a customer.

I am reporting an incident at Tesco Oxford Road where a customer didn't see a poorly placed 'wet floor' sign and was subsequently dragged back by an employee, resulting in a twisted ankle. This handling of the situation is alarming and not reflective of the standard of care customers expect from Tesco. I urge management to review this incident, ensure the visibility of safety signage, and retrain staff in proper, respectful customer interactions to prevent future incidents.

One of the staff is extremely rude. This is what happened to me today: A tall male staff member was mopping the floor in front of the meat cold cabinet, an area marked with a "wet floor, take care" sign. The store was notably crowded during this time, making it practically impossible to avoid traversing this wet area. As I passed through, the aforementioned staff member, without any prior warning, forcefully yanked on my backpack, causing me to lose my balance and suffer physical injury. I sustained a sprained ankle as a result of this incident. It is unreasonable to expect customers to navigate a busy store without passing through areas that have been mopped, especially when there are no clear directives regarding avoiding these spaces. There were no signs forbidding access to the mopped floor, and I firmly believe that passing through an area that has been mopped should not result in any form of blame or physical harm.I must emphasize that I cannot tolerate such a violent and sexist act. The act of forcibly dragging a woman by her backpack from behind is both violent and sexist. I strongly believe that this staff member's behaviour would have been different had I been male.

The Store manager called Danny has such a horrible behaviour, for students around this area of Oxford Road I differently recommend some close shops in the same area such as Spar, Coop or even Sainsbury?s to meet your level is customer needs
