I recently had an awful experience at Tesco with a self-checkout employee. Never managed to get her name but she was a woman in her 40s, appeared to be of Indian descent, and was incredibly rude. We tried to buy Red Bull, and despite being well over 16, she claimed we didn?t look old enough. She refused to accept digital IDs, forcing us to walk all the way back to our apartment to retrieve our physical IDs.
When we returned and showed our IDs, she refused service again, citing some made-up excuse about needing IDs for the people we were shopping with, implying we might share the Red Bull with them. It was absurd. She made us wait for several minutes while she helped every other customer but us. Finally, she said she?d ?make an exception? for us, as though she was doing us a favor.
This kind of behavior is unacceptable, and Tesco needs to seriously reconsider keeping staff who treat customers this way. It was a humiliating and frustrating experience that left us feeling unwelcome. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the situation promptly.

Such a lovely lady working downstairs helped me today to find the ingredients for my Christmas cake I'm making for my mum's birthday.. She was extremely helpful and great at her job..
so I thought I would leave a great review for her.
The cashiers upstairs are a different story their extremely rude.. I've been a few times and their attitudes suck seriously. Tesco please get polite cashiers as kindness costs nothing

You can always rely on this shop for extremely unpleasant and rude staff and queuing as they can?t be bothered to open the self check outs early in the morning. Hate it there

Here they close early. If someone want to grab something to eat. Google is gonna show that is open. Don?t bother going there 22:50.

Very rude staff, bad customer service. After I request for a refund, they laughed at me and asked me to wait for unnecessary minutes only to trick me. Worst shopping experience in UK ever.

If you want the feeling of a corn maze without the corn come here. The escalator was broken there's no signs by the door telling you this so we had to go through the first floor buy our items go out then go down the off escalator while dodging the people coming up it grab what we needed downstairs to come back up the same way while doging people coming down, then going back in the main way to go around the aisle maze to get back to the tills absolute joke. I felt like I was on a game show like what the hell how can this be safe?

They had a problem with contactless payments when I went to the self serve card machines by an assistant. I said I?d go to the check out where someone serves you, only to be told contactless was down across the store. Ridiculous! Was not told by the assistant on the contactless and wasted lots of time. The wifi signal in this place is always bad too. Staff are always nice and helpful but the building needs a lot of work doing.
