Dear Tesco Customer Services,
I?m writing to make a complaint about the poor service I received today (30th July) at around 3:00 PM at your Walkden Pharmacy.
I came in to get my blood pressure checked, as advised by my GP, who confirmed Tesco Walkden is on the list of pharmacies that provide this service is they prescribe me the medication However, the staff refused to help and wrongly told me I had to be over 40. When I explained my situation a told they what my GP told me I was met with rude and dismissive behaviour.
I later contacted my doctor, who apologised and confirmed the pharmacy should have carried out with this service. I?m disappointed with the lack of knowledge and poor customer service shown by staff.
Then went to boots pharmacy walkden and explained my situation to them and did my blood pressure for me straight away and got my medication sorted out for me within 10 minutes. I told the staff about my experience and Tesco walkden pharmacy and they informed my that a lot of there customers have had similar experiences at walkden Tesco pharmacy this need to be looked into properly!
I hope this is looked into and addressed properly.

Absolutely regret switching to this pharmacy as my nominated one for repeat prescription. Queued in line for 15-20 mins to be told that they definitely have the item but the pharmacist had to have a 30 min break so it was up to me if I wanted to stick around and do shopping. Even though the prescription was ordered the day before!
Thought I'd give it a day so that it would be ready for collection, wrong!
Only one woman working on the tills and a chap in the back who seems to be filling prescriptions but not the pharmacist.
And after walking around Tesco for 20 mins, headed back to the prescription to overhear the staff on the till still telling new customers that it'll be a half hour because the Pharmacist is on break. So is it a 30 min or 60 min break?
Woman on the tills seemed nice enough but this is ridiculous, clearly there needs to be proper management. How do you have one Pharmacist is Tescos largest store??
The total wait time ended up being 1hr 15mins for something that simply needed to be taken off the shelf. A joke!
I would highly advise against this Tesco Pharmacy, probably better off at the Boots arocrss the way.

Printer wasn't working to print prescriptions. Advised he will release the prescriptions so I can pick up at another pharmacy. Got to the other pharmacy and it wasn't released. Waste of an hour of my day and still no prescription.

Absolute chaos and inefficiency. No queuing system or call out system. People walking to front. Send you to go shopping for 15 mins but if you miss your name being called then have to join a queue. Only one member of staff doing front desk and no urgency.

I went to Tesco Pharmacy Walkden for some advice and was served by a lovely pleasant lady called Julie. She listened to all my ailments and recommended a product that worked a treat. My old Pharmacy were a bit miserable so this visit to Walkden was a noticeable change and I will recommend anyone to go to this Pharmacy in the future.

Absolute joke this place. Queued to get my prescription, paid for it and another cream and went on my way. Next day Julie leaves me a voicemail saying I haven't signed my prescription or said if I pay or not so can I ring back and confirm if I paid so I don't get a fine. Phoned the next day when I picked the voicemail up, finally get through to somebody who wasn't much help at all. The prescription was a repeat prescription sent from my GP, the lady over the counter didn't give it to me to sign, she asked if I paid and I said yes and paid for it on my card. The prescription was never in my hands so I could sign it. How is it my fault if staff can't do their jobs properly? Fine your staff, not your customers.

GP sent me to see pharmacist to get same day persciptions rather than wait for another days appointment. Pharmacist did not consider my symptoms and did not give anything but some poor spray. Next day went there to pick up perscription and same woman challenged dosage on perscription and sent back to GP who challenged pharmacist and her competencies. different pharmacy did not have any issue with perscription and got what requested first time. You dont always need to be right woman! You aren't the cleaverest in the world, change job if you only listen to yourself.

Repeat prescription put in one week ago. Husband went to pick up today to be told out of stock! They rang me to say it is out of stock and they have no idea when can get in and can release my prescription to try elsewhere. I said how has it taken a week for them to notice that a prescription I have been getting for years is not in stock. Anyway rang around a few pharmacies and found one that can get it in tomorrow. Sent husband to get it and he said they did not release prescription to him and just said its out of stock but they will if they can order it. Tried calling them for clarification, no answer of phone for 1.5 hours. Husband had to make trip again to get my prescription for another pharmacy. Prior to this, not issues with being out of stock (although do have repeat prescription sent to them by GP well in advance) but usually not ready and has to be made up and I wait 20 mins.
Often not acknowledged, while staff chatting at the back and generally treated as an inconvenience. Have now changed provider which is a shame as this is local pharmacy and should be convenient for collecting whilst doing shopping in store

Terrible Pharmacy,I am being very generous giving 1 star, The staff don't acknowledge customers they just stand at the back chatting, they never answer the phone and when you eventually get seen they can never find my medication, which is a repeat Prescription every month,I have to wait or call back in an hour or 2 which is ridiculous. Certain staff can be very rude too.

I'm being generous giving a 1 star! This pharmacy seriously needs monitoring. They never answer the phone, the queues are ridiculous (whilst the staff sit in the back having a chat), and they are always behind on prescriptions.
The service is so poor. This needs a proper manager to take control.

Be alright if anyone knew how to answer a phone..if your staff are too busy, hire another person.
