Quirky seating inside what used to be an old service elevator ? definitely a unique touch. The food was nicely done: good flavours, well-made, and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired ? mediocre at best, which was disappointing. The music was also far too loud to hold a proper conversation, making the dining experience less enjoyable. It seems they prioritise the bar atmosphere over the restaurant on weekends, so it might be better to visit midweek. All in all, not somewhere I?ll be rushing back to.

Tariff & Dale is one of Manchester?s standout spots ? effortlessly blending industrial charm with modern flair. Housed in a beautifully restored textile warehouse in the Northern Quarter, it?s the kind of place that nails both style and substance.
The cocktails are exceptional ? inventive without being over the top, and crafted with real care. The bartenders clearly know their stuff. The food is just as impressive: modern British with a seasonal twist, full of bold flavors and beautifully presented. The sourdough pizza is a highlight, and the small plates are perfect for sharing (or not!).
Service is friendly, relaxed, and professional ? you never feel rushed, even when it?s busy. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between cool and comfortable, with a downstairs dining area that feels intimate and atmospheric.
Whether you?re in for brunch, dinner, or late-night drinks, Tariff & Dale delivers on every front. It?s a true Manchester gem ? stylish, welcoming, and consistently excellent.

This is a lovely spot, not far from Picadilly Station.
I had a magnificent margarita and a perfect vodka martini.
The steak was spot on.
Absolutely lovely staff. Really highly recommend this gem.

Great food, the steak was excellent and reasonably priced considering the quality.
Unfortunately, very, very slow service which wasn't helped by staff not acknowledging.
Luca saved the day with his great engagement once staff had changed over. He spotted, acknowledged, and apologised, offering a small discount. A natural in hospitality and the rest of the staff could learn from him.

The girl who served us had about as much personality as a piece of wood. She didn't smile or converse once. She virtually slammed our drinks down. The toilets were abysmal. Heavy black mold in one toilet that made it unusable. They were dark & dingy. The ceiling looked like it was about to fall down.
