Unhappy experience due to rude optician. Receptionist was fine, explaining there was a slight delay, after 10 minutes i saw the first optician for the tests, then waited then saw the second lady who did the eye test and asked questions about my eye health and general health. She talked quite quick and asked a lot of questions. I felt I was just answering and explaining about my health, eye drops I used, medication etc she seemed annoyed by her expression whilst I was talking then at one point said if you let me speak and stop ill tell you. I thought that was unnecessary and it ruined the rest of the test and experience and upset me a bit as if I had done something wrong. At the end she said what do you want to do, I asked do you mean about glasses, she said yes, I said I'll have a look and then she took me to another staff member, explaining my prescription and walked off. I haven't even got anything with my prescription on. I did order glasses after looking and sitting with another lady, which I will collect. But felt the experience wasn't great, I felt rushed overall and not spoken to very politely. It wasn't exceptionally busy,although they were a bit behind.

The are really over crowded and bad like fish market. Running with low staff and waiting time more than a hours with appointment. Never recommend to go at Manchester fort specsaver.???

Recently had my 2yr eye test here & the appointment went smoothly. New Varifocals were ready in 2wks which is great. A very busy branch so an appointment is recommended. Thanks to all the lovely staff who do their utmost yo keep you informed of the procedures.

Had an appointment today and I feel the optician was inexperienced. Came in to store and booked an appointment as my work gave me a £110 VDU authorisation for new specs and eye test. My daily work is on the laptop, working remotely from home, I spend 5 to 7 hours daily. The purpose of my appointment was for a new pair of specs as my eyes are always strained looking at my VDU and I cannot work without glasses. Anyways, two years back they signed a release form at Specsavers for this and today she said she cannot sign the release form. Thus I had to pay for my new specs. I do not understand the logic as my specs are solely used for my work online, it seems really unfair as I am entitled to £110 by my work place. Last time I come to this branch and I may change my opticians completely. I am really upset and feel the staff here are inexperienced.Bit of a background on my working day, the nature of my role requires constant remote meetings and there are days where I rarely have any break as we deal with high stake examinations, which can impact the future of learner careers and further education. So I am constantly in front of my laptop and double monitor. I have worked at my company for over sixteen years as a manager and I am also a local school governor. I feel I make a positive contribution towards society.To cut a long story short, as a result I opted for a cheaper pair and could not purchase the more expensive frames I wanted. In addition, the technician at the end did not even ask if I wanted any special coating on my specs. I think this is bad customer service and ultimately bad for Specsavers as they are diminishing their profit margins.I will be picking up my specs next Sunday and if Specsavers are a reputable company and care for their customers, I hope they will agree to sign off my VDU release form.(Update to provide, your team were extremely unhelpful, they did not sign my VDU certificate and I am extremely annoyed as that is the sole purpose of my glasses, I will go to a different optician for my next appointment and will also advise friend's and family to do the same) 10th Dec 2023).

My 10 years old was told: we can go the easy way or the hard way dint okay with me I can tell if you need glasses or not, so will you choose the easy way or the hard way? I was outraged by this lady's choice of words and voice tone, my daughter was frightened, I obviously cut the appointment short and said I will complain, she raised her hand and said go complain...as if she knows nothing will happen, how arrogant. I will never go back

One of the worst serviceThey confirmed our appointment at 4:30And when we reached there the said you must come half hour before because they want extra time for checking.And when we asked why don?t you tell us before they behave very badly and no apologies for there mistakes .I have half day for this appointment which never work.very upset and disappointedIt?s better to go some other one

Absolutely fantastic environment with perfect staffing. Every single staff are very friendly and chatty. Tyroni and tyrei are superb- my daughter loves the optometrists sumayyah- my last optometrists I seen for my daughter was amazing he was very good with her and told her the consequences she'll have if she dosent wear glasses. Overall amazing place. Also was really quick service- didn't wait lon and was thoroughly checked over

Staff at this branch are so lovely! My Mums glasses were fixed within a short space of time. A special Thank You to the lady serving us and the 2 young men who answered all our questions.. We had a positive experience, you were kind and patient.
