I'm really upset and mad?The shopping experience in this store is bad?Today, in order to celebrate, I specially ran to this sainsburys to buy wine. I specially brought my brp and passport, but I was refused to buy when I checked out. The female clerk said that my ID had expired, and directly turned my passport to the signature page. She pointed to the valid date above and said that my visa had expired too. I explained that after this date, people will use evisa, and I was confused why she looked at this?Isn't it necessary to check the date of birth to make sure that I am an adult??But she still insisted that my ID had expired and needed to be updated, and refused to sell me alcohol.
The supermarket sales can only check the age of the customer, not the validity period of the visa. That is immigration's job. She has no power?and she can only report the police if she suspects?

My friends (UoM pantomime society) lied to me that this Sainsbury's doesn't exist. Well it does exist and I love it. Don't watch their panto, they are liars!

Dropped my keys at the store, I called up and checked if they were there and if I could collect them the next day. They said yes and yes, I showed up and they denied :/

Waited by self serve for 2 mins, no one came, so took my items and left. Have some staff on the tills and then maybe your losses wouldn?t be so high.

This particular Sainsbury?s store has staffing issues. It?s my local store (unfortunately) and it?s common that there are no staff at all on the checkouts, nobody on the ?manned? checkouts and nobody supervising the self checkouts. There are clearly staff in store, who knows what they are doing. Think I?ll be walking to the store on Oxford Road henceforth, that?s much better staffed, never once had the same issue there.

No staff to be seen in the shop, no-one on the tills. Once you do finally get someone to come out, dont expect any help. So I'd suggest not going in if you might need a hand with anything.

Issues with stock for meal deal in store, closest Tesco on Oxford Road doesn't have this issue but the other Sainsbury's there does.

Take off the plastic pandemic panels from the counters, I can barely sneak my arms underneath them to grab my groceries, always scrape my arms on it. It's been years. Take them off!

Good range of food available but staff are too slow to stock shelves in the morning which results in disgruntled office workers not being able to get what they want in advance and long queues during lunch hours.

Security follow me round the store because I shop randomly (I have ADHD) yet when the person in front of me walked out of the store with £35 of shopping when their card was declined at the self-scanning till, the staff couldn't care less.

Small, local store serving residential and businesses. Very busy at lunch time, not helped by the cramped layout. Staff are a mixed bag, but generally don't seem overly friendly or helpful!
