Didn?t really rate my breakfast here! It was very mediocre. I came as it looked good on Instagram. Unfortunately, the dish didn?t live up to expectations it came in a tiny bowl I would use for cereal at home. Eggs are inexpensive so I?m not sure why the dish was this stingy for the price. I got the Turkish eggs, I?ve attached what they were supposedly meant to look like vs what they actually looked like. The coffee was nice though!

Average coffee, slow service, to busy to talk to each other. When I asked if I am going to get my coffee. Young lady just ignored me. Hope management will realize how bad this place is been run

Been here before and remember the service being slow but today was ridiculous. Waited around half an hour from being seated just for coffee before asking where it was. We decided to leave when the staff said they?d not even started making our order. There were other people who had ordered food and their drinks didn?t arrive till they?d nearly finished eating. Staff not at all apologetic. You shouldn?t have so much additional seating in the arcade if you can?t cope with the amount of orders coming in and serve customers in a reasonable amount of time. Or at least let customers know when ordering that there will be a delay.

Great food lovely atmosphere however our order was forgotten and we waited for atleast half an hour and had to speak to a waitress however once we had made the complaint they treated us so well and got our food out incredibly fast and apologised by discounting our food. Understandably this was an accident so would go again.

A regular visitor . . Ive had to reduce the number of visits due to increasing prices reduced value for money . The menu has dipped a little ( getting rid of the beans and chunky bread breakfast is nuts.) £60 for breakfast and Coffees isn't sustainable . Service is great ?? ?? oAtmosphere is

Lovely place with lovely food and drink, and even lovlier staff. I'm loathed to do this but I'm having to knock off a star for the simple reason that you're not permitted to swap out foods when ordering a breakfast?and for a person with allergies who can't eat a lot of foods, this means getting a much smaller plate for the same price; not very fair in my opinion. But if it wasn't for this bugbear, I would be rating 5 stars because PKB is a really pleasant little establishment.

Local bakery and cafe. Seasonal french toast made by croissant usually very good. Pastry Supplied by Half Dozen Others?? one of the best cafe that i love in Manchester. Yet very disappointed by the service. The social media stated that kitchen close at 3pm daily. Last time we went here at 2:50pm, were told that kitchen closed. We asked why the server just said the kitchen closed 10 minutes before the close time? then it?s purposeless stating kitchen closed at 3pm on social media?.?

Felt very disappointed with Pot Kettle Black. Me and my partner came here after the good reviews and we were both underwhelmed with the food.The Turkish eggs were incredibly band (worst I've ever had) and my partner said her big breckie bun was average. The coffee was nice but they got my parters order wrong...The service was slow but one saving grace is they took the eggs off the bill which was really appreciated.That's why we've given it a 3* and not less.

We were seated pretty promptly after booking and service was good when we ordered our food and drinks. Asked about allergies as well if that is a concern for folks.Food came out pretty quickly and drinks then followed.I ordered a matcha latte with coconut milk and they had lots of options of plant based milks which I loved. The coffee was delicious. Some of the party ordered juices which looked really fresh and lovely.I cannot speak to the rest of the parties food, they didn't have any complaints. Was a bit strange when two of the party ordered chorizo and and both portions were served on one side plate (to save on washing up, I don't really know what the logic of that was). My only complaint about my avocado on toast with poached eggs was that the eggs were severely overcooked and quite cold. This made the breakfast pretty dry. Avocado was nice but could have used more salt.The service for paying was a bit of a pain, I am not sure if they were really understaffed or if it was just particularly busy but I had to go up and find someone to get the bill. When we did pay it all went smoothly.

I have been to Pot Kettle Black for a coffee before, but this was my first time for lunch. I happened to be in Manchester around midday and popped in on the off-chance that there would be room for me. Fortunately there was: there was space around the raised table in the centre. It was quite busy with a mixed clientele - shoppers, students, people working on laptops - and there was a pleasant atmosphere. I went for the "brekkie bun" which was very tasty. The coffee was good too, Service was efficient and pleasant. I will go back another time and try something else from the menu. I am looking forward to it.

Zero gluten free options, several dishes could easily be made gf if a change in bread was made available. Staff unhelpful re this.
