Spent a very relaxing 5 nights here. Room was very comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be that the aircon in the restaurant is much too cool.Walkability: There is a shortcut through the Arena to Victoria Station.

Staff gave wrong room key so walked into someone else's room. Shower leaked all over the floor every time as the seal had deteriorated and had holes in. Black mould all round sink. Battery cover missing on safe in a family room with small children.

Absolutely perfect venue for anything happening in the AO Arena, it's right over the road, I'll be using the same hotel for any future events there, staff are very welcoming, food was decent in the restaurant downstairs, and rooms and excellent for an overnight stay.

DAYLIGHT ROBBERY. Avoid placing a reservation with this hotel. They will rip you off and steal your money. I booked a room in October 2023, for a night in February 2024, for a total price of £92, B&B. I had email confirmation of reservation against my card for £92.Checked in, and they suddenly debit my account £185!!!!! When I queried this, I was told this was the price I had reserved at, but this was a lie - I had email confirmation with me showing the total price I had placed against my card as £92. They wouldn't accept this as it wasn't in their system (computer said 'no'...), and was tols there was an event on in the arena so it would be more expensive. They clearly hiked their prices after I made my reservation, failed to honour the agreed price (which I had evidence of!), DOUBLED THE PRICE AND STOLE MY MONEY. I WILL BE REPORTING THIS TO TRADING STANDARDS.One of the front desk staff gave a 'goodwill' refund of £40, but I am yet to receive this - and do not believe I will. In any case, they should honour the price I agreed to pay. Anything else is theft.Absolute nightmare, leaving me seriously put of pocket. To make matters worse, there was no TV nor WiFi available in the hotel. £185!!!!Atrocious experience, in which my hard-earned cash was stolen. AVOID THIS HOTEL AND CHAIN - you have been warned!

Rooms decent to be fair, staff friendly, service a bit slower than expected BUT sour taste when I went to pay but I was told cardless hotel. Manager intervened but could not help. Not accepting cash is awful and not highlighted at any point. I won?t stay again. Shame on this hotel, avoid embarrassing customers and advise PREFERRED method of payment is cashRooms: Card payment onlyFood & drinks: Card payment only

We had a few issues over night which we discussed with the reception staff who assured me they would let you know before I sent this email so you were fully up to date. The reception staff offered us a refund due to the issues but because we had pre-paid, she was not able to do this. The issues we had was that the tv didn?t work, I?ve attached the video to prove this and made house keeping staff aware this morning before we left so they knew it wasn?t from us.We arrived back to the hotel around 23.00pm following a gig at New Century. We got into bed and decided to watch a film but that?s when we found out the tv didn?t work. We tried to get it to work again in the morning but it didn?t which is why we decided to check out early.I didn?t contact reception at that time of night due to doing all the obvious things ourself to try and fix it such as turning it off/on, checking wires and the fact my partner is an engineer and can usually fix things and that if you were to send someone up at that time of night, I?d already got changed for bed and didn?t want someone to come into the room. The other issue was the bed, the beds I understand from your reception staff are usually zip linked but on this occasion were not, and was two singles pushed together. You can imagine that with two people in the bed, they come apart when not connected so that meant a huge gap in the middle of the bed which isn?t comfortable or great and meant multiple times of us having to push the beds back together and overall, a poor nights sleep.Other than the above, we had a great time at our gig but it was just a shame that the hotel and relaxing side of it didn?t meet expectations and we encountered a few problems. The reception staff were lovely throughout for both check-in and checking out.
