A great restauraunt with top class service and atmosphere overlooking Albert Square - definitely potential once the Square is renovated to have some of the best views in the city!
Fantastic selection and variety of cocktails, the 1 star off was for the food which has the potential to be great but at the moment doesn't have the quality of other fine dining establishments.
The staff here are incredible however, very very friendly and welcoming and can see myself returning for late evening drinks - the view at sunset is great

Had the afternoon tea which was lovely, only thing that could have been improved was the Matcha scone. It was a little dry and bland which was a shame as the jam and cream were excellent. The belly pork was delicious and definitely our favourite. Beautiful presentation of the afternoon tea. Would recommend ?

Walking into SORA felt like stepping into a chill vibe dining spot that?s all about good times. The place has this cool mix of stylish and cozy that just works.
Mariano, our guy for the night, was nothing short of awesome. He knew the menu like the back of his hand and dropped recommendations that were total winners. He had this knack for showing up right when we needed him, keeping the whole meal flowing smooth.
The food? Oh man, it was like a flavor party in every dish. Fresh, zesty, and plated up like they?re ready for their foodie Insta-shot. Mariano?s timing with the courses was like he had some sixth sense, letting us kick back and enjoy the vibe.
We wrapped up with a dessert that was straight-up indulgent, and Mariano paired it with a wine that was the cherry on top. His ?see ya later? had us already planning our next hangout here.
Long story short, SORA?s the spot for killer food and a great time. And Mariano? He?s the kind of server that makes you feel like a VIP.

Manchester Sora really is a hidden gem! I can't recommend it enough to everyone, the food, the staff and the drinks were all perfect. The atmosphere was just what we were looking for for a date night. A few drinks, some delicious food and good vibes all round. I absolutely recommend you get the Coffee Koji from the seasonal menu! If you're celebrating or just want a nice evening, definitely give this spot a try!
Vegetarian options: There's enough choice and the veggie options there were spot on!

TLDR: I cannot compliment Sora enough! The food and drink will ALWAYS be a 5 star from me. High quality, lovely views and very satisfying.
Recommendations: For drinks, ANY of the highballs. For food, California dragon roll and sticky pork belly.
Overall, this is one of my top restaurants in Manchester. Whenever I crave sushi (that?s extremely fresh, for a brilliant price and a huge portion), I know Sora will be the first place I book. The staff are so friendly, and the atmosphere is beautiful (of course, having a nice view of Manchester is just extra special!). They have music/DJ on certain evenings which makes the evening feel a bit more special. The desserts are quite unique, so while you?re there it would be good to have a taste of one (or two!).
You can enter Sora through the main Mal Maison entrance which is what I saw, but there is a dedicated side entrance which leads to the lift that takes you up. There doesn?t seem to be a strict dress code, but definitely one of those places where you?d want to dress up a little and take a bunch of nice pictures, alongside the gorgeous food and drinks.
Highly enjoyable, lovely and just a favourite of mine - a gem!

Cocktails were amazing and managed between us to try most of the menu, cuba libre version worth a try and spicy old fashioned was outstanding. Food was well presented and tasted great. Beef tataki needed to be sliced thicker but that's personal taste. Braised short rib special was outstanding and hopefully will make its way to main menu.
Will be back for sure as can't wait for summer views from there

have a wonderful lunch in SORA on rooftop of #MalMaisonManchesterDeansgate: the Japanese bento is of exceptional quality, given that here is Europe. We can overlook Manchester City Center esp Albert Square, while enjoying a glass of #prosecco. Service rendered herein is warm and excellent. ?? After going to church, we went to SORA for a delicious lunch together?. This Japanese bento is of excellent quality in Europe. It is paired with a glass of Prosecco and is very comfortable. This restaurant is worth recommending because the service is very good.

Great restaurant with great food. The food menu was very limited, however, prices were reasonable and the items themselves were fantastic. Drinks menu was also decent. Would definitely recommend this spot to celebrate an occasion!

Went for my birthday and had a great time! Staff were incredibly friendly and had gone to the effort of writing a card for me :) We had mostly sushi dishes, all of which were very tasty, then were blown away by dessert. View out of the window was a bonus (we requested this upon booking).

This place is a vibe, tasty well executed cocktails and amazing Japanese food!
The decor is so sleek and cool! 7th floor with a balcony to look out on the town hall (currently under renovations)
