There is a new layout, self checkout is divided into two. The barrier to second section is closed so I went across. Only for the site manager to shout at me. I emailed a complaint to head office, who has not yet responded.
Update: I emailed head office, they didn?t respond adequately except to state they will pass on feedback to area manager. Waste of my time.

I was in Lidl longsight on 21st June 2025 around 1.00 p.m. While I was going through the newly arranged self service area, I noticed a huge line of paracetamol and water bottles were shelved. While paying my bill I saw a staff member who seems to be at a supervisory level wearing a headset as well. I politely asked him ' can I say something '. His face was like as if I have done a big mistake, no expression at all and with sort of an unwanted tone responded 'ok tell'.Because I wasted to tell this I ignore his reaction and told ' if you keep chocolates instead of paracetamol it will bring you more profit'. His response for that was ' oh its all upto Lidl and their decision ' and turned away. Lidl management, please train your staff with good customer service skills to keep your business running
