John Lewis Shoe Department ? I came in for baby shoes and was met with unbothered, rude staff who eventually said, ?we don?t have any shoes in that size.? So you?re telling me you only stock 1 single pair in that size? It just felt like they couldn?t be bothered to help. Thankfully, we went to Clarks instead and were greeted by warm, welcoming staff who gave us the positive milestone moment we?d been hoping for. They were also three times busier than John Lewis ? yet still managed to give excellent service.

We went in looking for a new bed frame and a particular one which was quite expensive. The staff tried to help but because the computer was switching over to the autumn range (don't know why that should affect beds) they couldn't see if what we wanted was in stock in the size required or when it could be ordered and delivered. They suggested, apologetically, that we try again in a few weeks . Not very efficient or customer friendly and will lose sales.

The cafe, just went in with my 85 year old mum for a coffee there was a long queue waiting for food so decided to go to the till to order coffee as there were 2 girls just stood there doing nothing. As I approached the till I got told there was one queue and I need to get to the back of it. I explained I did not want any food just 2 coffees. She replied it does not matter there is just one queue and you need to go to the back of it. Needless to say we left the store and went for a coffee where we got served straight away. I could not see the logic in having to wait behind a food queue when there was staff clearly stood there chatting to each other and not serving anyone. The way I got spoken in front of other customers was also inappropriate I will not be going back. Shame on you John Lewis.

Travelled especially to go and see a watch id seen online, they had it in store. Stood for more than 15 mins waiting to be served at the watch counter whilst the two collegues served other people who had been there longer. Perfectly okay. We wait until one is finished. Expecting to get served wait another 5 mins whilst the person pulls out papers and begins writing; and then pulls out their phone and goes on their phone on the shop floor. Despite seeing us waiting. Ride customer service, walked off. Ended up getting the same watch at Ernest jones where the staff were much better!

We went to John Lewis today at the Trafford Centre to get a new strapless bra for me and I was finding it really difficult to get one sorted as my husband wasn?t allowed in the lingerie changing room with me and I?m disabled so can?t do them up properly on my own and we were struggling to get the right size. But a really wonderful lady noticed our plight and helped me perfectly. She also knew by sight that I was trying the wrong sizes on. I ended up walking away with a beautiful bra and finally wearing the right sized bra! All this time I had on the totally wrong size and never knew. Highly recommend to anyone if you need a new bra

Visited on 31st July and was very disappointed with the service in the shoe department. Two female staff members were whispering about me while I browsed and laughing about me, which was unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable. They also didn?t want to measure my child?s feet and were generally rude and unhelpful. Not the level of service I expect, especially when shopping with children.

The queue is extremely slow. There are only two people ahead of us, and there are two staff members at the counter. It feels like it takes forever. We decided to leave and put back the items we wanted to purchase. Bad experience

My wife and I had the full English in the John Lewis Trafford Centre restaurant this morning. What a sorry mess! Dried up bacon, chewy, inedible hash browns, uncooked mushroom, second rate beans. (Sausage and poached egg exempt from criticism.) Sadly, the experience was a long way off-brand, partners!
