Came in for brunch with a friend and it was busy. Some of the staff didn't have a clue what they were doing and were just standing around not being helpful at all. However there was one member of staff who's name I got Malket and she was very helpful and professional and we noticed her picking up the slack from the other staff who were just standing there. So thank you Malket you truly are a great employee and a true professional, I'd definitely be coming back if she's on shift.

Oh dear. 11.30am, a busy Saturday morning, a couple of weeks before Christmas. A time when shops and cafes should be well staffed, people should not be kept waiting 15 minutes to get a cup of tea and Saturday employees should not be fiddling with their hair while serving food. A time when managers should ensure long queues are not forming, staff should be aware that not every customer is able to stand and wait for nearly 20 minutes to be served while the staff chat, move at a snails pace and be gazing into space. Absolutely dreadful service, saved only be a reasonably clean and tidy eating area and a decent - ish cup of tea. This is not acceptable and quite honestly, it's no wonder that John Lewis are struggling if this is any indication of the levels of service.

Great experience with Josh from Samsung, however experience was unfortunately 3 stars because of Ade.Josh was extremely helpful when myself and my partner were buying a TV. He was extremely helpful and not pressurising at all.However unfortunately Ade was reluctant to serving us for some reason I don?t know why. He was extremely abrupt when asking our details. To be quite honest his customer service was shocking. It was 5:45 on a Sunday and he clearly couldn?t be bothered to serve and just wanted to get home.Customer service should be the same through out the store regardless of being 15 minutes away from closing.Thank you very much Josh for your excellent service we really appreciate it.

My TV broke almost a month ago, and because it is still within the warranty I called JL to ask for repair. I was informed that the TV will be collected by a separate contractor working on behalf of JL to be repaired. I was then called by rep of the above contractor and she informed me that the TV can be collected next week (more than 7 days after reporting the fault).After collection I received ZERO updates; tried to call JL multiple times, being held on Hold on few occasions for more than 15 minutes each; was then informed that my TV is ready to be collected at the store. I went to pick up my "fixed" TV to Trafford Centre branch, only to be informed that the TV isn't there!Advisor mentioned it looks like it's in Cheadle branch... I asked "can you make sure", and after checking again, turned out that the TV is NOT at Cheadle branch.More of it - it isn't even repaired yet! I've waisted time and money, I am still without the TV (it's been now almost a month since I reported fault); got 1 email from JL informing me that the service contractor is awaiting parts that should arrive(d) last Friday or Monday... It is now Wednesday and know nothing more than I knew 3 weeks ago...Worst part is - I always thought JL service is 5* but it turns out it isn't which is hugely disappointing If I only knew, I would have purchased my TV at Curry's or other established retailed that cares more about the customer than JL... Shame. It will take time for me to trust John Lewis again...

Wide selection of homeware items and a good discount section for technology and also a good discount section for babies.Shop is always clean and staff are always friendly and helpful.It's a shame that the shop doesn't offer price match anymore, however still plenty of good offers to be had.

Went to this John Lewis looking for a new TV for my partner and I and the customer service I was offered from Bernard was appalling. Absolutely no patience and spoke down to me as if I was a child. Will not be shopping here again.

Recently visited John Lewis at Trafford Centre as needed advice on an outfit for me to wear at my daughter's wedding. Had an appointment (free) with personal shopper assistant, Adam. I was absolutely delighted with the whole experience. Adam was so helpful, not at all pushy and I left with the perfect outfit. Cannot recommend him or the service highly enough

Recently came in for some advice and demos on pushchairs and car seats.Whilst I appreciate they recommended we make an appointment to get the full tour, the info we were given was at times irrelevant to the questions we were asking, or misleading. We asked 4 separate times to see how a car seat attached to a stroller, but this never happened. They went in hard selling £1000 deals without asking our budget, which made us feel awkward, like we couldn't afford to shop there.We stated our intentions clearly from the outset. If you can't show us what we ask for without an appt please be honest. Also appreciate that this is a hugely important decision for the safety of our child which shouldn't be tainted by hard sell tactics. We left confused and disappointed and won't be back for the appt.
