Visited this branch for the first branch two weeks ago. Needed to withdraw money which was over the amount able from cash point. One staff member behind counter, 3 staff walking around all asking did i want to use the machine. Explained several times I can't but no staff offered to open up another counter. 15 minutes later still stood waiting. Very infuriating when staff are present and able to assist. Only when another customer joined the queue was another staff member asked to open another counter. Come on Halifax serve your customers efficiently.

This branch is always helpful, Sam and Claire have been absolutely amazing with helping me and sorting things for me. Never had an issue with the staff and they?re always able to help me and resolve my queries.

First class Customer Service & help from Sam during our 10am appointment meeting yesterday at the Walkden branch regarding our Mothers Power of Attorney.Sam was extremely professional throughout assisting and helping my Sister & I to set up the POA online thus making life so much easier for us and explaining the process fully throughout.It is obvious Sam has years of experience at her job, she is a warm, friendly & caring person, who is an absolute credit to the Halifax.Once again thank you Sam for making what we thought a difficult task look so easy.

My Missy attend this bank twice to open a child saving account. For our child. The first trip she made, she had all the documents and they turned her away because they wanted more proof of address. So today, she attend with 4 proof of address, Government letter, billing letter, bank statement and Universal Credit statement, they still rejected her because her Universal credit statement do not match the town of the account. All her documents address is the same details - town - Manchester. Universal Credit - town - Worsley - What did they do? Reject her for opening a child account because her Universal Credit town is Worsley but hello! She has 3 other proof of address that you asked for but still focus on one document over a "different town". Worsley is in Manchester. 0 Stars. Can't even help her anything further but to waste her time twice. Disgrace.

Really nice long serving staff. Recognise that people have mental health or physical health disabilities and have a staff member front of house to sensitively deal with this. Important face to face contact for the community it serves .
