Booked an MOT through fleet for the centre. Arrived promptly and went to book in. The man at reception was completely unhelpful, stated the car wasn?t booked in. Showed him the email and booking reference he just repeated it?s not booked in we are too busy. Have since confirmed with fleet it was booked in. It appears they were just busy and decided not to carry out my MOT probably because it?s fleet and it doesn?t matter to them. Really unhelpful and no consideration for having to book time out to attend which was then wasted. Rebooked for Kwik Fit and a much better service

Friendly and helpful service. The heatguard had come loose on the underside of my car, I didn't have an appointment but popped in on my way home. Staff were really helpful and looked at my car while I waited, they removed the heatguard and didn't change me for the time. I've used this garage before to fit new tyres and the service was great then too. I can recommend this garage.

I wish I could give 0 stars but even they change that, asked to replace light they said too busy when they were sat playing basically fortnite on their computer do not recommend unless u want to waste time

I've been going to Halfords Swinton since 5 years, however in Feb'24 when i got my MOT done, i was given advisories on 2 front tyres. Recently, i went to another auto mechanic just behind my office as it was more convenient and they refused to change my tyres saying that I still had 3 metre left on both tyres for it to be replaced, and that the advisories given were wrong. I've lost trust in Halfords Swinton and I feel this was an attempt by them to rip me off by eventually coming to them to replace the tyres when there wasnt any need. Wondering if each Halfords branch has commercial targets they need to achieve every month / year and therefore they do these things?

Booked in for a mot, called about a day after to reschedule to the following week. They said not a problem moved it to the same day and say time. They sent me a confirmation email and on my halfords account said that time as well, showed up to my appointment 10 mins early as requested and they put the time in wrong in their books but not online. Said they could not accommodate me until next week even though it was their fault. Won?t be returning

Brought my car in for a battery check as id had a few bad starts where it would shut off. It was checked by Callum, the battery came back fine and he had noticed straight away that a part attached to my engine had become loose and fixed it back for me within minutes. He was very informative and helpful with this situation. Would definitely come back in the future and thank you again :)

I called in today without an appointment as my car bonett would not close, the reason why wasn't so clear but I had 3 mechanics all offer to help. They took their time to resolve the problem and were then so kind do it as a good deed, which was very much appreciated!! Thank you!!
