I recently booked a Free Brake Check service at Halfords Autocentre Ardwick and deeply regretted it. After dropping off my Audi A7, they called to quote an exorbitant price for parts, prompting me to promptly cancel. However, my dissatisfaction persisted. Upon collecting my car and driving it for less than a mile, I noticed a sudden drop in tire pressure. The tire pressure warning illuminated, and upon inspection, I found cut marks on the right rear and front tires that weren't there before. Forced to visit a nearby tire shop and pay for my car's own spare temporarily, I returned to Halfords Ardwick the next day to replace the rear tires. When I questioned the manager about the pressure loss, he dismissed my concerns, deflecting responsibility by claiming he wasn't there the previous day, and Josh managed instead. He insisted that I must have hit something to cause the cuts, refusing to believe otherwise. Despite my attempts to file a complaint, he directed me to do it online and refused to acknowledge the issue. This experience has convinced me that Halfords Autocentre Ardwick is not a trustworthy service provider, and I won't be using their services again. Please do read others reviews, I wish I had as well!Update: Made a complaint more than a month ago as the customer service over the phone said they?ll take action , no response whatsoever, a month and counting! Absolutely disgraceful !

Went in for a major service and a dpf flush after engine light came on for my Audi A6. After they finished the flush and service, told me that everything is now cleared and fhe engine light went away. A day later, lots of light on the dashboard came on and when I went back to them, they said that it must have just happened afterwards. Even though I told them that I got a service which didn't find any of the new faults, they just shrugged me off and told me to go to a dpf specialist. In the end, I was without car for nearly a month and ended up paying £1615 to fix my car with an Audi specialist. Not happy with the service at all and the customer service was rude at the service centre

Avoid at all cost.Do not go for the "major service", it's a total rip off, i spent £277.99 for the major service only to find out that most of the jobs listed below that was included in the "major service" was not carried out and had to go back to the garage. Requested to speak with the manager and he was not "available".1.None of the accessible hinges were lubricated as advertised. When i went back, the mechanic reluctantly sprayed it here and there and said that they don't do it at all anymore. I asked why was it advertised on their website then, He said he "doesn't know".2.Check operation of exterior lights (my number plate lights were dead and they did not noticed that)3.Screen washer bottle(s) were not topped up, later when i went back the mechanic topped it up with the tap water instead of the proper washer fluid.4.Bonnet catch was not lubricated.5.Coolant was not topped up, later when i went back, the mechanic topped it up with "TAP WATER". Now, i came to realise that you are not supposed to add tap water in the coolant as mine is the pink one which is pre-diluted. I now have to flush the whole system out and refill with the new coolant to avoid the radiator and engine's getting corroded.6.Check Battery security, condition and print results- No information or report provided to me.7.Check & report condition and security of under tray.- Again No information or report provided to me.These were only the list of the things i noticed that was not carried out, out of the "77 Checks" that was advertised as included in the "major service", i am sure that most of them were not carried out.During the service, one of their colleague rang and informed me that 3 of my tyres needed replacing and was close to legal limit and quoted me the price, i agreed and went ahead, only to find out that the tyres still had 5mm (1.6mm is the legal limit) depth left which is 53% out of 100% as per their "own report". When questioned the mechanic about this, he said it's a printing error and i should ignore it and asked me if i want to inspect the tyres. As i was running late for work, i declined. In total, i spent £589.81 for the "major service" and the tyres. I wrote to halfords about the issues and no body bothered to reply back to resolve the issues.Based on my experience, i do not recommend and will not be returning.

I had my car booked in for an MOT. The staff were quick and completed the MOT in less then 45mins. They were friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond and filled my tyres for me, although it wasn't included. I would definitely recommend them.

Warning! Don't rely on time slots here. Booked a single tyre change for a 30 min time slot. On the day was told I would have to leave it there for several hours until they have time. No warning in advance of this. I would understand a slight delay but several hours shows they don't keep to their time slots. Asked for a refund and 3 days later it still hadn't been processed (can see on paypal) - had to call to ask them to do it. Went to ATS Euromaster in Bredbury who did the work at the time booked.

Car was in all day- only to be told they couldn't fix it as it needed a terraclean for complete block of exhaust. Took it elsewhere they did another diagnostic, it wasn't blocked at all! Just low on something (I cant remember what) but was shown the diagnostic codes, and also was told it wouldn't run if completely blocked! (Forgive me, im no expert) but im so fed up with wasting my money and time with incompetent rip off people/companies like this!Ive been told since by friends and family that they've had serious problems with halfords, due to breaks not working because of them etc!Ill never go near them again! There should be firm laws against this kind of thing!

Went in for an MOT, regretted it, should've gone somewhere else, they will try and rip you off on a part that cost £24 they tried to charge me £300 in total meaning £276 for labour and £24 for the part how does this make sense! (luckily uncle owns a garage sorted it out and it took 20mins!! to fit the part) that's the last time I would ever use halfords.

A bunch of scammers. Will try to charge you for repairs that your car does not need. Avoid.

Don't even think about it. Had me drop car off for 8:30, didn't start work on it till gone 14:00, Thursday then said couldn't fix it till Monday, but they did manage to take it for a 35mile road test but don't worry they unplugged my dash cam first.

BE ALERT!!! I brought my car for service in June this year, it was for Oil and Oil filter. Today on the dashboard says my car needs to change new engine oil. Mind you i drive local..so whether we can trust Halfords when we bring our cars for service it's questionable???? NEVER AGAIN

Broke my wheel caps and just left in drinks holder instead of mentioning or offering to replace whilst doing service.
