I’ve been coming here for years and as well as everyone being very friendly and welcoming, they really understand how to help you get what you want from your hair. Both stylists and colourists actually listen to you and take you along the process, and seem to encourage what I need at the right time, whether that’s confidence to have more of the same or boldness to try something different. Particular shout outs to stylist Richard and colourist Christian who are excellent in their respective areas and lovely as well.”

“I recently had my hair cut by Jenna, who is training at Toni and Guy Academy once a week and also works in the Wigan salon. She was supervised by the tutor John.Let me tell you, this haircut is PERFECT!!!! Jenna paid so much attention to detail to my hair type, my reference pictures, and made sure that I liked it at every significant part of the cut. We also talked about her dedication to upskilling as a hairdresser during her great career so far.John was also supervising about 8 trainees at once and yet always gave me and Jenna the attention and support we needed throughout the haircut.It's clear that both the students AND the teachers are passionate and top-quality. The receptionists have been great when I had to rearrange and when I wanted to recognise Jenna's hard work. I would absolutely come back again for the same or even a different style.03/09/23 - I came back to have my hair coloured by Kayleigh and chose a full head of highlights. “Last month I went to a salon in town who damaged my hair with bleach my hair was red, blue and blonde. No salon was willing to colour correct my hair due to the condition of my hair.I was recommended to see Salma at Tip Top due to her expertise in colour correction.I saw Salma at Tip Top yesterday who reviewed the condition of my hair and advised me on how to treat it. She was very accommodating and agreed to do it there and then despite me not having an appointment.She dyed my hair to a colour that looks healthy as well as putting treatment in my hair. My hair looks so healthy and no one can tell how badly my hair was burnt with the bleach from the previous salon I went to. The treatment she put on restored moisture into my hair and improved the texture significantly.No other salon was willing to help me as the condition of my hair was not manageable however, Salma knew exactly how to treat my hair and gave me in an depth consultation and talked me through exactly what would be best for my hair.At the end of my treatment and hair dye session she advised me on the after care for my hair including using hair oils and specific shampoos.The prices were very reasonable.
