Trafford Centre Review: - Visited Thursday, Rude Service, Girl was on her phone with AirPods in, completely ignoring customers at the front of Selfridges. She placed a sign on the display cabinet saying they had sold out with nothing available at 7pm?Then could see she was eating the stock she clearly put aside for herself. A box with about 12 cookies in, not a good look! Staff eating your profits.Shame as I was going to give a try, went elsewhere instead.

Someone appears to be making a lot of money on the back of astute social media marketing here. I tried one of their donuts as a colleague had recommended them and still regret paying £3.75 for it, a completely unjustified and inflated price. The donut was competently made, but the main difference to a good fresh supermarket donut was that it had a lot more (raspberry) jam in it. It was nice jam, but far more than I could stomach so I ended up having to throw some away or face diabetes. Wasteful and extravagantly priced. At the risk of sounding like an inverted snob, the Lidl bakery section is excellent; their donuts are melt-in-your-mouth light and don't leave you feeling slightly nauseous and like you've been robbed.

Getting delivery is probably the best way to have the food it?s delicious and even from a student worth the £8 price tag. The restaurant looks like it hasn?t had as much attention paid to it, it?s trendy but very obvious where they have skimmed out on price, the chairs are uncomfortable, water is from reused milk bottles and things that should probably be in a storage room are out in the open. Overall amazing food and lovely staff ?

This beautiful French toast (more like loaf ?) has been on my list for a while now and I can confirm Gooey DELIVERED. The most beautiful French toast, perfectly golden on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and filled with the most delicious Dulce de lece. Although it looks heavy I was pleasantly surprised and inhaled the whole thing! The only thing that would make this PERFECT would be an addition of a salty element (even a sprinkle of sea salt) and served alongside some fresh fruit! Other dishes we ordered: ? Birria Dip ? Hashbrowns ? The Reuben Although the other dishes were nice the French toast was the HIGHLIGHT and a MUST!!

We visited this store to takeaway some sweet treats for breakfast. This is a very busy store so be prepared to queue if you want a seat inside. Amazing pastries. I got a a French roll filled with cream. We also got a red velvet cookie which was huge. Definitely would visit again to sit in to try their French toast.

We were left waiting outside in the rain for quite a while, despite there being empty tables? they were just taking their time getting them cleaned. Once we ordered, they brought half of the order and left the other half just sat on the counter for a while until we asked for it. We got a bacon sandwich, the bacon was extremely fatty, the bread was too thick and the crusts were so tough they were inedible. We ordered French toast which was tasty but far too much butter. Overall, I think this place isn?t worth the hype and the value for money is poor.

NEVER AGAIN!!! 2nd time ordering delivery and messed around both times!! Didn?t review the first as it could have been a one off but apparently not!! Gave an ETA? then proceeded to push it further and further back thus destroying plans for the day? still sat waiting 5 hours after the given ETA!!

I love a good breakfast out and a friend of mine recommended this place. I was told it was the best French toast you could buy so I had high expectations. Happy to say it lived up to the hype. The French toast was so good I definitely will be visiting again in the near future.

Grabbed so donuts from the Gooey kiosk whilst staying in Manchester this time as I didn?t have time to get to their cafe.As usual, great donuts, fresh and flavoursome! All I can say is yum!!! ?The dough is soft and sweet and the fillings and always generous!

I came here today with a party of 6 we were extremely excited to try the desserts advertised online and had high hopes. From the moment we stepped into the cafe we were immediately met with disrespect and treat as if we were a problem, not as paying customers. We attempted to sit around a table and were told we cannot sit there and would have to buy and leave. I pointed out a table that looked big enough and we were told we can not sit there until it has been cleaned and need to wait near the door. My pregnant cousin attempted to sit down after 10mins of cleaning and was rudely asked not to sit down after this we left. No one else was being treat this way and as people of colour this felt like racism. We are all offended as we came all the way from Leeds to try these desserts. The woman that behaved this way had multicoloured hair and was incredibly incredibly rude. Will not be returning.

After seeing a lot of hype we decided to try this out on a weekday and hopefully avoid the queue! We were seated right away and staff were friendly. The restaurant is light and spacious and smells of powered sugar. There was a queue by the time we left! We shared the egg sando, French toast, and some coffees. The sando was nice but the bread was a bit dry and the coffees a little stale tasting like the machine needed a clean. However, the French toast was absolutely amazing, soft inside with a delicious crust, filled with a custard like and toffee like sauce and drenched in syrup. Sharing was a really good idea as the stack was huge! Overall a great brunch.

We were there today, the food is good, the worst thing about the place is the queues to get in, you have to wait a long time to get a table, they had a lot of staff working on the floor but still everything was very slow, it's a little badly organized when you're eating and You see a long queue waiting for you to finish so they can enter, it's a shame because the place could give much more. We tried the cookies once, they are not much and they are very expensive.

So salty, I don?t get the hype. Made a trip especially and it wasn?t really worth it. Anything but gooey. Probably nice warmed up for a few seconds but I don?t have a micro so I found them a bit dry.

Gooey Co. is one of the places I heard a lot of people talking about for breakfast/brunch. We had to wait about 30/40min to get a seat, but we did arrive at about 12:30 on a Sunday and there was a queue of people waiting to go inside. We had the time and were not incredibly hungry so we decided to wait and it did not disappoint. We had the French Toast, which was huge, the Egg Toast, a Kinder Donut and a Watermelon Iced Tea. I must say the French Toast and Egg Toast were amazing and I highly recommend them. The donut and the tea were a bit on the sweeter side, but still good. There wasn?t much of an interaction with the staff members (you order through a QR code), so I cannot give an opinion on the customer service. Overall, I would highly recommend Gooey and would suggest to go early in the morning if you don?t want to wait.
