Been doing Funky for nearly 30 years and it still can't be beat. Great night out, especially after a few bevvies post-footy. New Year's Eve is always a belter.

Amazing music and alright priced drinks but the bouncers are so rude and unnecessarily aggressive, almost ruined the night by being incredibly horrible and threatening to kick us out because one friend accidentally brought their drink into the smoking area. Bouncers are awful, refused entry because I was wearing trackies even though they were not trackies.. along with a lot of other people. IT SAYS ON THE WEBSITE NO DRESS CODE!! so the bouncers had no right to refuse us entry. I have emailed about a refund and they have ignored me, this place is scamming people out of money.

Funkademia does sell out most weeks so you are advised to either arrive early or purchase advance tickets from Skiddle, this way you can avoid the queues or even the sold out sign.
Funkademia has been filling dance floors since 1995 and is Manchester's longest running club night!!!
