Had high expectations as I've heard a lot about it. Short queue on Saturday afternoon. Service was friendly. Had hoped for more cake options but it seems to rotate throughout the week. I went for a pain suisse with my coffee. Was very tasty, great pastry and perfectly baked. Coffee was nice too. It's more a bakery with some limited seating than a cafe. It's loud inside so not most relaxing space for a coffee specifically.
Overall, I recommend it! I'm looking forward to visiting again soon and trying more from their range :)

I loved Companio in Ancoats and it was always such a lovely little bakery. Disappointed at my experience at NQ. The woman behind the counter was extremely rude and provided not great service. Additionally, one of the chefs was quite loud on FaceTime etc which again seemed a little unprofessional. The food is good quality but maybe as they have got a lot larger in size it felt they lost that importance to service and appreciate those customers that was there when they were a lot smaller.

Really great spot for coffee with a nice range of baked goods. Plenty of fresh bread to chose from too.

A bakery you must visit when you come to Manchester. There is a main branch near the marina, but it is said that they have opened a second, larger branch here. The almond coffee croissant is famous, but it was more ordinary than I thought, and the pear custard croissant, which was a special that day, was really delicious. Above all, I was surprised that he was so good at making coffee. The staff is friendly and there are a few seats inside and outside, so it's a good place to eat and drink.
Everything was perfect. Although the almond coffee croissant was not up to my high expectations (heard so much about it), the special pear custard croissant was a delight. But the highlight was flat white. It was incredible, I wanted to have another.

Heard about this bakery and the amazing sausage rolls that are sausages wrapped in croissant pastry on Instagram through a Manchester influencer I follow. He was not wrong the sausage rolls are to die for

Such a fantastic new addition to the Northern Quarter. I've loved Companio's bakes and bread for a while, and it's great that they're able to expand and open a bigger shop.
The baked goods are obviously excellent, but I wanted to shout out the coffee - delicious!
Thank you for thinking of your vegan customers and offering lots of choice!
Vegetarian options: Lots of vegan options, including vegan croissant and pain au choc.

A shiny new place always exciting to try and live upto the hype.
The food is quality? as is the coffee.
Great quality?now the real deal.
It?s too expensive for what it?s is?
2 coffees very small and one danish, delicious ?. £10.30?for that size and side is allot.
Just smile, makes a difference.
Gotta try the pizza! Baked on site.
No parking just case you want to know.

Lovely pastries. But there were no cups for water or cutlery provided for people eating inside. I wish it was available before we had to ask.

Found this through searching bakerys in manchester and was blown away with the reviews ive never seen somewhere with such good reviews before so i thought i needed to check it out and it didnt disappoint. Everything was buttery and flakey. The coffee and tea and lovely. The bread looks incredible. It has a small place to eat outside. I thought there would be a big queue due to the amazing reviews but i got serviced fast and found a seat easily. I highly recommend to anyone whose looking for a lovely bakery.

Best pastries I?ve had in the UK. I love them, the dog loves the crumbs, the coffee is good too and I?ve had many friendly chats with the people who work there. It?s a real bakery vibe, with real bakery quality and I?ve never had a old, soft or stale pastry - only ever crispy, moist and fresh where you can see all the layers crunching as you rip it for a bite. Love love love ?
