We booked on a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast basis. The interior of the hotel really does have a wow factor, especially, if like me, you're a fan of Art Deco. With the exception of a few business meetings, we had a bar terrace all to ourselves to enjoy some amazing cocktails. It was only when we went into the dining room did the bubble burst. There were barely any other diners and we felt very overdressed considering the restaurant's basic interior and the hotel's star rating. Our meal was good but nothing exceptional and we left feeling very underwhelmed wishing we'd booked to dine in the city. Our room was small but nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable and we did have a good night's sleep. Breakfast was not good unfortunately. My toast was burned but replaced without hesitation when I mentioned this. Also my porridge was stodgy. My husband's cooked breakfast was less than impressive. The quality of the food was not 5-star. In all honesty we've had better at a Premier Inn. Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and helpful. On departure we were asked if we had used anything from the mini bar - we hadn't. Luckily we checked the bill and lo and behold there was a charge on it for the mini bar. We challenged this politely and it was removed immediately. It's a beautifully designed hotel in a great location, but I doubt we will stay there again.

We had the most amazing stay at Hotel Gotham to celebrate my partners birthday, exceptional details, a beautiful suite with personal touches to reflect the birthday, excellent service and an indulgent and exclusive feel from start to finish, one of the best!

Wow! From the moment of arrival the whole experience at Hotel Gotham is simply amazing and the best we have encountered. I've been fortunate to have travelled far and wide and stayed in a some amazing locations around the world but Hotel Gotham wins! There is simply nothing they have not thought about and made perfect, from the checking in experience through to rooms and meals and drinks - everything is incredible. We were blown away by their cocktail bar (Club Brass) - so much so we had a party there to celebrate our wedding but it is the perfect location for any event or cheeky weekend away. Hotel Gotham describe themselves as a 'Cast and Crew' and they are not wrong, it is a show and experience when you stay there and one to savour. It isn't cheap - but this is absolutely one occasion when the experience is worth every penny.

We had a beautiful afternoon tea with you yesterday. Our preferences and choices were accommodated and we enjoyed the food immensely. Staff were attentive and checked if we were happy with everything. We had a really nice waiter who was pleasant and personable. Hot drinks were plentiful. Very enjoyable visit.

Fantastic hotel - comfortable room and bed and temperature. Breakfast was outstanding and delicious, staff was responsive with great recomendations. Walking distance to most everything we wanted to do. Nothing but positive to say.

Absolutely stunning building and interior decor. We stayed the night and had afternoon snacks in the Brass bar. Attention to detail was everything. Very attentive staff right from the dropping our car off with the concierge.

I have stayed twice at the Gotham. The hotel is stunning, the bar is exclusive to those who stay at the hotel only. The golf setting is luxurious. The rooms are amazing the suit was one of the best rooms I've ever stayed in. The honey restaraunt has lovely views for either dinner ir breakfast. I loved that the English breakfast was freshly cooked. My partner is very fussy in the way he likes his eggs cooked and he loved the breakfast including the eggs. It's a must visit do not hesitate to book. Quirky, luxurious and stunning. Excellent customer service.

Staff at reception are very profession and very polite. They were more than happy to show me a few different rooms all of which are very well presented. Staff in the bar are to, all very nice and professional. Very happy with our stay and i recommend this unique hotel.

I booked a 21st surprise stay for my son and his girlfriend and paid in full. Upon checking in, my son was advised that he couldn?t use his card to secure extras and the original card was required (my card). I telephoned the hotel to resolve the misunderstanding, but they were unwilling to help over the phone, so I had to travel to the hotel. The outcome resulted in me paying for the room again in addition to £306 of extras. On departure, my son paid for the parking provided by the Gotham (something they said would NOT be accepted) and my card was separately charged for some minor incidentals - £6. I?m still waiting for £306 to be credited to my account. Disgusting service and upside down processes.

We had such an amazing stay here! Such a beautiful hotel and so quirky. Staff are lovely, polite and super helpful. The food is gorgeous and the drinks are fab to! The whole place is just brilliant, couldn't fault it! There are so many additional extras that you can add on to your stay to, they really have thought of everything! I mentioned on my booking that it was for my husbands birthday and when we were checking in they said happy birthday to him and when we got to the room there was a happy birthday message and chocolates on the side, just super personal. Loved it!

Club Brass is on the top floor of the Gotham Hotel. It is an exclusive private member's bar and available for the guests of the hotel. It has three private terraces with amazing views of the city. The staff are friendly knowledgeable. The menu offers a wide variety of drinks, including cocktails, spirits, wines and non-alcoholic beverages. The black forest martini is absolutely delicious!

Stayed at Hotel Gotham for offsite workshop. A beautiful hotel w nice character to it. Used the bar (CLUB BRASS) almost every evening during my stay. Seems like the bar is Open to members and Gotham guests only, it is on the 7th floor.It is a cool and quirky bar and must be one of the best lounge bar in Manchester!Great cocktails n decent collection of whiskies. Beautiful city view from their roof garden. Smokey old fashion whisky was awesome!
