What has happened to this CEX? I've never had to leave a review for a CEX before as 90% of the time my experiences are pleasant. But as an avid game/ film collector the shear amount of cover reprints are actually disgusting and something needs to be said. I went in today only to find most of the items I originally went in for had cover reprints. Some examples 5 copies of silent hill blu ray all cover reprints, Fear 3 for the ps3 - cover reprint and Im sure you can guess what issue I had with the other products. It's got so bad now it felt like 50% of there blu ray stock was cover reprints. Surely CEX release when an expensive game gets a cover reprint no one wants it and it will sit on the shelf forever as it has completely tanked its value. Now I understand theft is the main issue that causes this but surely if so much of your stock is being nicked you need to do something about it? I go to many Cex's in the north West area and this is by far the worst I've ever seen it and just seems to be getting worse. This review is mainly aimed at cover reprints, staff are great and friendly however, as others have said before the smell can get quite bad sometimes.
In short 2/5 stars because shop is smelly and filled with cover reprints.

They had great range of products but Shane about the prices and even some items were not in a very good conception- from a collectors stand point.. good range of items tho, items usually not in other branches.

Awful place to go, I traded in my gpu for in store credit and they made me sign the document and now that I have left the store they for forgot to mention that I need a sign in code for my account and now I have to travel 2 hours back to the store. I have contacted the support team complete waste of time. The support team said the people at the store said I need to come back and sign my documents for my in store credit. My problem is they told me to leave because I had done everything. Don?t visit this store

I bought a phone for a Christmas present, I have asked specifically the question if the phone isn't the right one can I return it and get my money back? The staff say yes, sure! Well, I went to return it today and I've been told I'll get a voucher that I can spend in the store, that's not what I've been told when I bought the phi and I ASKED SPECIFICALLY if I will get my money back.... I have made a formal complaint and hoping I can change this 1 star review to a 5 star after having what I've told I'll have, after asking specifically that question.

Picked a Mario game for the wii u, took it to the till the young lad went out the back came back and said sorry we don't have it in stock, what kind of shop has game cases on the shelf then doesn't stock the game , seems a little weird to me, definitely wouldn't return.

The tester let?s call him mr incapable took 5 hours to look at a perfectly working MacBook. And then had the cheek to knock off £10 for a charger that?s perfectly working because it had the tiniest crack in the most irrelevant area. Then the cherry on the top was when I asked if I could be let off the £10 after waiting 3 hours longer than said time they said ?it was my problem?. I?ve got a good feeling they hire technicians who all grew up to be window lickers and I would not recommend wasting your time, rather watch paint dry than experience this again.

Andy the assistant team leader was rude and obnoxious and when I asked why he was behaving like that I was told ?it?s not illegal to be rude?. I will never shop at CEX again. Beth the girl who served me (who was actually lovely - she deserves the position more) even agreed with me and other staff were looking at him. Don?t give idiots like him power he will kill your business.IF I do decide to use this store again I?ll stick to blackburn and Accrington where I KNOW I?ll get treated with respect and not treated like an idiot because I?m asking questions or discriminated against (a theme with the 1* reviews it seems). I?d give 0 stars if I could. Disgusting and immoral behaviour!
Edit: had an email from CEX customer service saying ?we will look into it? no comment on here and radio silence for the last 2 weeks? says it all about this place

I bought a drawing tablet I turn on to check its functionalities and it didn't meet my expectations. According to the terms & conditions before 14 days I can return it by postal at any Cex Store. I went to the Manchester store with the same conditions I received. However, Grace. O. on customer service told me they are unable to verify if this item is in the same condition but they only can buy it for a lower price. "This is an untrustful procedure/CHEATING."

I was denied a refund but offered to sell them the tablet l bought from them at a cheaper price. The item was exactly as they sold me. I just tried it for 10 minutes. I had bought it online from a shop in Watford. It said l could return it anywhere. However, at Arndale they said l could not return my item. But they wanted to make a profit with it, buying it at a lower price...
