Went for rechargeable batteries and charger. Out of stock despite the website saying otherwise and a very polite and knowledgeable young man steered me to a slightly cheaper product that does the same thing. Very good service.

My visit today I purchased £300 of tiles, the start of a larger scale bathroom project and came across these specific tiles perfecet for the job. I also bought a lawn mover in the sale just because it was a top price. The only thing that made my visit today loose a star was the customer service. At the checkout the customer service lady 'Shirl' insisited on scanning the items at the self service herself. I went to the self service to speed things along but this didnt end up being the case, she scaned each item to find it hadnt scanned anything and then did it again, then to only have to log in with her staff code to change the quantities because she thought it was better to do this way. It was very infurating and didnt help at all. The whole checkout experiance made me feel like I was being judged and she was preventing me from stealing or something.
I will use this store again as its the closest, but will firstly consider traveling to Oldham instead or will be very insistant that I do not get any service or assistance from this Shirly lady every again!.

Massive range of building tools and supplies ? I nearly always find what I need. Stock levels are generally good. Staff are helpful and know their stuff, though occasionally it can take a bit of time to find someone.
The timber cutting service is useful when it's open, but it's often closed, so worth calling ahead to check. Plenty of parking is always available, which is a big plus. Prices are fair overall, though some items can be a bit on the pricey side.

This is to Rebecka at Cheetham Hill,i was looking for a Makita Grinder and the system said three left but none on floor,i spoke with Rebecka and she went out of her way to get me this product.nobody knew where the other two went,but i was very suprised how helpful this lady was.Once again thank you for going the extra mile.

Picked up a click and collect order, waited a while for staff to come after getting confirmation my order was ready. Once home I opened my package to see that I had been given the incorrect colour item. Ended up having to return the item. Just felt like the staff couldn?t be bothered to do their job today. Very disappointed.

Came away with a wonderful selection of plants for the garden. What a shame the staff at the tills are so lacking in customer care. In desperate need of training how to treat customers.

We?ve spent probably over £1,000 over the past few months on home improvement items, but during our most recent visit, we were treated as if we were thieves. As we approached the checkout, we noticed two security guards rushing toward the door. This time, we spent over £200 on wood and moulding. After paying and heading out, the alarm went off.
We went back inside, and security asked if we had anything in our pockets that we hadn?t paid for. We emptied our pockets to show them we had nothing. They also checked our trolleys, and after that, they told us we could go. Strangely, when we walked through the door a second time, the alarm didn?t go off.
We understand the need for security checks, and it would have been fine if they had simply checked our receipt and trolleys. However, being asked if we had something in our pockets we hadn?t paid for was extremely upsetting and humiliating. It?s not the kind of treatment we expect, especially as loyal customers.
