“Excellent customer service today. Having just used an HSBC cash machine which had debited our account without issuing any funds, we dashed to this Nationwide branch to report what had happened. The person who served us was so helpful, immediately reporting what had happened and requesting that HSBC return our money. It was a complete contrast to the rude treatment we had just received at HSBC whose staff couldn't give a toss that their cash machine was faulty and had stolen our money!”

I needed to activate my pin, needed a new pin,my old pin wasn't working. Also I needed a bank statement.
She helped me with the machine and then printed out the statement.
I'm no good with technology so I'm glad she was there.
I really hope those at the top have a rethink about closing this bank, it's very essential for the community and the staff are very friendly and professional.”

“I visited the Manchester branch on 31st Oct to verify my ID for an account I hold in Pakistan. I was served by Ahsan Ul Islam and the service was second to none. He was very professional, explained what was going on and even though it wasn’t a quick transaction he was very attentive and patient. liaising with his counterpart in Pakistan (Gujar Khan) making sure they had everything they needed before I left. I felt really looked after with the first class service Ahsan provided and I wouldn’t hesitate to contact him in the future or to recommend the bank to friends and family. Thank you Ahsan for going out of your way you were exceptional!”

“Went into Santander today hoping to have a small issue sorted. Ie change my busi Ness phone number. The girl tried one way but this did not work. Then another way tried and this didn't work.
A phone call to another branch and another way tried. Then a phone call to head office and they tried a few more things
But still not working. The system will not take my new number.
So after 40 mins and a great number of staff trying to fix it. Lots and lots of apologies. They finally had to give in and close my account down and then reinstall it. Lol But many many thanks to everyone at Santander Urmston .”
