Whent to Wythenshawe Asda Wythenshawe civic Centre 19th August 25. Just to get some cigarette and a sandwich. Got told that the counter selling tobacco was closed, I couldn't understand why as it was only 8.30pm , the girl at the self check out didn't even say why and had a attitude. Not surprising why people think this shop is terrible places to shop, will have to shop elsewhere in future.

Asda Wythenshawe toilet facilities has been locked by the staff, their reason been people make a mess in the toilet so they'll rather refer you to the forum or McDonald's if you an asda customer need to use the toilet desperately which I see to be totally unacceptable and there has be changes ASAP. Otherwise this issue must be taken further.

Probably the worst supermarket i've visited in my lifetime. Staff are pretty rude generally, and customer service counter is a nightmare. Typically one member of staff on, serving a growing queue of 10 plus people. One lady very friendly, the other older lady, consistently grumpy as hell. Also check the sell by dates. Last year i picked up a box of flapjack bites from the bakery. As i was queuing i noticed they looked slimey. They were one whole month out of date! Shocked, i showed it to a staff member, who simply took it off me with barely a response. To be fair to ASDA i imagine its a store that comes with its own particular challenges, through no fault of the company.

In asda tonight security guard raced past me he caught up with shoplifter outside bm he threw the shop lifter to the floor come on he cant do that it is assault the shop lifter was wrong but we cant have asdas guards beatin people to the floor hope the shop lifter is okay and the guard is proud of himself i would say the incident was 11 30 ish have a look

This one star review is for the lady in the customer service (date: 28/05/2025 in the afternoon), she should not be in that position as she does not have any kind of good treatment with the customers. She deals with customers as if she is forced to come to work or that she works for free. Grumpy and no courtesy at all. By the way this is not the first time, she told me about four weeks ago literally ( WHAT DO YOU WANT?) I was in rush at that tome and did not to make any trouble to her with her bosses. I wish she is removed from that position

Worst supermarket I've ever been to.
Most of the staff don't seem to care if you're waiting at the self-service till to be seen because of a problem with self self-service machines (which happens all the time). It's very expensiveplace to shop. The tills (self-service and the ones manned by staff) don't accept mobile phone payments, which is very strange as most of all, shops I've been to have them. Staff themselves aren't helpful and rude and don't seem happy to have to be there (I can understand that at i don't want to be there either). It's a pity it's the only supermarket around there, otherwise most people would go there instead. My main gripe with the place is that every time you go in or go out, the security alarm goes off, and most people who get pulled are completely innocent, so that can be very embarrassing and the staff who search your shopping don't even apologise for doing it. If you can go elsewhere to shop, it's a dump.

Bad experience here this weekend. Problem with the tills meant I had to wait about 15 mins at the till for them to put my items through at the right price. As things had been removed from the receipt it was confusing and I asked for clarity on the price. The manager/supervisor whose name is Sharon was rude to me and made me feel really embarrassed in front of other shoppers. Sharon should be retrained on customer facing skills as I should not have staff of Asda being rude to me for raising a genuine inquiry.

I am extremely disappointed and shocked by the lack of quality control at ASDA. We recently went to asda and picked this jelly pot for my 1-year-old child, only to find that it had fungus inside. This is completely unacceptable! As a parent, I trust that the food I buy from a reputed supermarket like ASDA is safe for consumption, especially when it is meant for young children. But this experience has shaken that trust.
Imagine if my child had eaten this without us noticing. A 1-year-old?s immune system is still developing, and consuming contaminated food could have led to serious illness. Food poisoning, stomach infections, or worse?this could have been a life-threatening situation! ASDA should be fully aware that they are dealing with people?s health and safety, and such negligence is simply inexcusable.
This incident raises major concerns about ASDA?s quality control and food safety standards. How did this product even make it to the shelves? Does ASDA not have a proper quality check process? Are they not regularly inspecting their stock? This is not a small mistake?this is a direct risk to customers' lives, especially vulnerable children.
I strongly urge ASDA?s management to take this issue seriously. Do not play with people?s lives. Immediate action needs to be taken to ensure that expired, spoiled, or contaminated food never reaches customers. Check your stock properly, enforce strict quality control, and hold suppliers accountable. This is the bare minimum we expect from a well-known supermarket.
I will definitely think twice before purchasing any food items from ASDA again. If something like this
happens again, it won?t just be a review?it will be a formal complaint to the food safety authorities. ASDA, do better!

Honestly, the rudest supermarket when it comes to staff. The red light flashes on the self check out and you can stand there for 10 minutes watching the staff manning it either avoid looking up, having their own private conversations with each other or when they eventually come over, not speak and even huff at you. I'm overly patient and polite to a point, I will wait for probably too long - hit when I start to get annoyed, rest assured- I have WAITED.

Absolutely disgusting service from the staff. Their attitude was completely unacceptable for someone working in customer service. I won?t even describe the woman I dealt with because there?s nothing polite to say.
