I have been coming to Asda in Gorton for many years and never complained until I was on my weekly shopping and self scanning , there had been a problem with the self checkout and I asked the security for assistance ,and I was explaining the situation and when I was done he just proceeded to mock me and he just threw an item at a worker to put away, the worker was stunned by his actions aswell I am really disappointed in the Asda I have been going to for these past years.

I had an unpleasant experience today (21st May 2025) at the ASDA superstore, Gorton due to the rude behavior of the security staff. While trying to scan an item using a QR code, the scanner failed to work. I approached the nearby security personnel for assistance. Instead of offering help or even acknowledging the issue with basic courtesy, he stared at me with a cold, mean expression. When I explained the situation, he responded with a disrespectful tone, abruptly saying ?Finished?? before taking the grocery item from me and scanning it himself.
The lack of professionalism and respect in his attitude was disappointing and made me feel uncomfortable. I understand everyone can have a rough day, but customer service?especially in a public-facing role?should always be respectful and helpful. I hope ASDA takes this feedback seriously and ensures better training for their staff in dealing with customers.

Two visits in two days and overcharged twice. Two Starbucks coffee pods for £5, charged £5.90. Next day, New York Bakery Co Authentic 5 Bagels Cinnamon & Raisin 425g on offer but charged full price yet again. What's the point of the ASDA rewards, now rewarding a lot less by the way, if your paying much more at the till than even the price marked in store? They can keep their merchandise and Rewards and I'll shop elsewhere when ever possible.
Update 22/10/2024 Chicago Town Pizza Honey BBQ marked price £3.00 in reality £4.50! That's ASDA Price

Again I don't use asda anymore and I don't recommend anyone else
But please let me explain why I have chosen to be this way about them I went into the Hulme shop and I was assaulted by the security and then I I was arrested and charged but when I take them to court I was found not guilty but I still have not received an apology from them so unfortunately I will not be able to tell people they are a good place to use.
But please don't forget that this is a different place and as such I have no idea how good they are and you should give them a chance but I will not be using asda anymore
I won my case in the court and was even told I need an apology for their actions but I have a felling I'll be waiting on it and was also told to take them to court myself but it is over now but do not use them

The service is very bad. When I visited them they didn't let me in. They were saying that we have closed. but there were people shopping inside. I am not allowed to enter in. I am their regular customer. It is very sad and shame on the employees of Azda.

Very frustrating that they only have 2 self service tills that take cash, also seeing as in poorer areas more people tend to pay with cash. I often go in and am forced to queue to pay cash while half a dozen or more self service card tills are empty. Very annoying and very foolish. Also the security seem to be right on it so one of the harder shops to shoplift from. All round a bad experience.
