Went here with my friend to the hairdresser so she can get a trim and the man who cut her hair took so much out of her fringe she came home crying, it's 3 cm above her eyebrows it looks terrible

A fabulous collection of small independent stores, all with great (and often quite unique stuff) and always excellent and friendly service. It's great fun to wander round and see what catches your eye.

Bit disappointed as it's not changed in 30 years. Still a maze to walk round, some very curious and interesting things though.

Pretty cool place and really interesting vibe. Just walking across the shops made me aware of so many interesting bits of creative sector.Would 100% recommend visiting here when in Manchester even if you don't wanna buy anything.

Had one of the best fries (chips) I've ever had in my life on the 3rd floor of this building.

Great retail place with bags of history attached to it?s name.I have been a customer since I was old enough to make the train journey from Bolton to Manchester in the early 90?s.My first experience of the place had a huge effect on how I viewed and valued independent business and inspired me to start my own.Now at 43 years of age I had aspired to migrating my shop to Afflecks which seemed to be a ?no brainier? if was to grow the business in Manchester.Unfortunately my formal requests, enquiries, site visits and phone calls were met with zero response or acknowledgment.I?m now ever so slightly dejected and not to mention held back in progressing with business in other premises.Maybe my case is a one off and maybe they have their reasons not communicate with me ?who knows??.Hopefully this doesn?t put anybody off enquiring themselves as your endeavours may be more fruitful than mine.

If you visit or live in Manchester, you have to go to Afflecks! It's the coolest place in the city, with four floors of independent alternative stores, and a gorgeous cafe in the top floor. It's worth a day trip by itself.
