That a shame. Been coming here for 10+ years, the food is good when it finally arrives. BUT it has just changed ownership and the new owners haven?t got a clue how to run a cafe or how to speak to customers (very rude and unprofessional). WE WILL NEVER WASTE OUR TIME OR MONEY STEPPING FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN WHILST THAT RUDE WOMAN OWNS IT.

Dissatisfied ? what?s happened ?!
Couple of things on the-menu not available, ordered a vegetarian breakfast, nasty quorn sausage, I would expect better for the place & price) poached eggs over cooked, hash brown just like crisp, asked for brown toast, received white, and when i asked for brown I was asked did I order brown?
Beanz even boiled over, the avocado ? was lovely.
Sorry but will not be eating there again.

If you?re visiting Hollingworth Lake and thinking about a lovely place to eat well the olive and pickle is a must! I popped in while working locally as a thought of treat myself to a nice breakfast as it looks really appealing and I certainly wasn?t wrong. Staff are wonderful very pleasant and had a great conversation with the chef even come out to serve my food which was my special goal to which was poached egg with Hallam and on the side was a lovely little touch of chutney that just took it to another level. Lovely coffee too! The loive and pickle is an absolute gem of a cafe and highly recommend it for those passing or visiting Hollingworth Lake

We had our first visit to The Olive and Pickle in Littleborough today and absolutely loved it! The decor is stylish and welcoming, creating such a lovely atmosphere as soon as you walk in. The food was delicious ? fresh, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. The staff were so friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. It?s safe to say we?ll be coming back time and time again. A real gem in Littleborough!

Ridiculously overpriced bland food.
£12 (although I was charged £14 and had to go back for a refund) for one slice of sourdough with the most bland 'chilli infused' avocado I've ever tasted.
Even at a 300% markup it should have been about £5 maximum.
It took well over half an hour for my food to arrive. I'm not sure how it's possible to take that long to toast a single slice of bread and spread some coop avo on it (the Uber eats driver literally delivered it right next to us, maybe that's what took so long?).
Littleborough has many lovely places to eat, I wouldn't waste my money here again in a hurry.
Service was great though, just a shame the food is so poor.

New menus at the Olive and Pickle!
This is a great lakefront spot with tasty food and friendly staff - it can get a little noisy at peak times so if you?re sensitive to that I suggest one of their delicious breakfasts in the early morning before a walk round the lake!

Wow The food is absolutely top quality and fresh. The staff are extremely polite and friendly. It was an absolute pleasure to have lunch in a lovely clean establishment. Top marks to the owner and staff.

Lovely cafe. Been several times but todays visit was top notch. New menu and the food was delicious. Took out little dog who was treated to a bowl of water at doggy sausage. Staff are very polite and the atmosphere is calming and welcoming. Will definitely be back.

Feels a bit hit and miss recently. French toast was lacklustre, and coffee was weak on this occasion. But in the past, this place has been great. I fear looking at other reviews we are seeing a decline.

We had to wait 50 mins for our food and when it came the children's food was the wrong one. I booked a table at 12 on purpose so we could pretty quickly as a 4yr and 6yr old don't understand waiting for food when they are hungry.
