My daughter recently had her 21st birthday party in the upstairs function room.I have to say that the staff were fantastic ?? Matt C, Matt H, Debbie and Charlotte.A big thank you to you all as nothing was too much trouble.All was very much appreciated.I would definitely recommend.Thanks again.

Came here today after walking round the lake in the rain. Friendly, helpful staff and great food. They have a dog menu, water dispenser and bowls. They gave us a blanket to dry off our dog which was much appreciated.

My family and I came for Christmas dinner. Everything was perfect. Food, drink, staff and atmosphere. Just lovely.

Had a lovely time on Friday the 15th, festive meal was delicious, service was great , views are gorgeous looking out over hollingworth lake before the sunset. This is our 2nd year having a festive meal and will hopefully come again next year.

Firstly what a dreadful start to the Christmas holidays I booked October 26th to make sure myself, my 2 daughters and 2 granddaughters could have a nice evening out I booked the 20th as it advertised carol singers we were not the only people expecting them several groups came in and the staff looked at them and us with blank expressions. After waiting 15 minutes we were shown to our table then had to queue up for another 15 minutes to order drinks. For the starters the kids garlic bread were 4 crusts each with a red water like dip. Despite paying a supplement for 2 steak fondue there was no cranberry or dressed salad but at this point we were just starving the youngest in tears. The carvery was all dried up and it was impossible to even cut through the Yorkshire puddings they were like bricks. The person serving the carvery insisted we ordered pigs in blankets even though I said I didn't then carried 3 pale stringy sausage over and left them on the table when we said we didn't want them. Followed 30 minutes later by 4 deserts. What is the point of pre ordering? Having paid a £21 deposit the bill was £49.95 remaining plus our drinks 8 soft drinks. However we were charged for 4 unwanted and uneaten pigs in blankets, a desert that was not even ordered. When we queried this with the only 2 staff members were useless and after 45 minutes with 2 very tired and fed up children he finally gave us £11 and some change but would not return the receipt to me. Awful experience.

The atmosphere was very welcoming from the moment we walked in, the bar staff engaged with my child so she felt really included. We ordered food and drinks, the food was really nice - especially the crispy chilli beef small plate! Brill value for money - I will definitely visit again.

Had an excellent carvery. Was really impressed. The place was pretty quite but all the food was still piping hot and looked appetising. It was delicious ?

Surprisingly fantastic experience. Hadn?t been to this spot in years after an average experience I had there, but felt starving after a walk around the lake so popped in. They?ve done the whole place up and there?s a great vibe there now, plus the service was fast and friendly. Biggest surprise was the food which was delicious. Highly recommend

I recently visited after many years and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised how the place has changed. The atmosphere was lively and friendly, and all of the staff were welcoming and attentive. The prices were very reasonable. I'd highly recommend, even if it just for a cheeky cocktail!

Stopped for some lunch after a walk round Hollingworth Lake. The carvery was nice and one of the freshest I?ve had. Very good value for money. Macy served us and was lovely and efficient. Will be returning with family :)

Following a cold and wet brisk walk around Hollingworth Lake we warmed up with a few warm drinks followed by a lovely carvery at The Beach. My wife and I opted for different meats and both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The staff were polite and service was quick. My son somehow had room for a desert which he also demolished. Will definitely return, maybe without the walk next time.

We visit a few times per month and the food is consistently good, the service is speedy and the staff are great with my young daughter. Can?t ask for much more! The play area and beer garden is great for summer, too.

I've been to the Beach - Pub & Carvery a few times for drinks and I have to say that it's an great place to have drinks by the lake after a walk. The atmosphere is relaxed and chilled. The drinks are all reasonably priced, and they have a large selection of beers, ciders, cocktails, and other alcoholic beverages. The bar staff are very friendly and intuitive, always putting in the extra effort to make sure you have a great experience. I would definitely recommend the Beach
