Always check your products before leaving the store. I bought an ip68 electric cable connector. Then Drove 15 miles back to the job, unpackaged the item to find it was missing one of its rubber seals rendering it useless. So then I had to drive all the way back to get it replaced to then drive all the way back to the job. No joke especially late on a Friday afternoon.

New digital way is horrendous! None of the machines work, lose your order and they just restart them and you have to start from scratch... no help no nothing.

KAREN'S R' USHello,I visited your store in Leigh this morning and had a very unpleasant experience.I am an SME and ordered some new products but the screws provided were not suitable. I drove 30 minutes to your store and asked if they can help me with three different type of screws. A lady called Sue asked for the measurements, I explained didn't have them (when I have been in the past they have a small board for measuring the screws so they can identify what I need) she then said I should really have the measurements or she wouldn't be able to help me? after this she asked if the screws I had came with measurements and I explained they did not. She then asked a young man called Jacob to assist me (who was very helpful) whilst Jacob was assisting me she asked Jacob if she had any luck with my screws to which he explained he was struggling to find the correct ones in stock. Sue then said to me I should of really gone online and ordered them and measured them first. I was a little sarcastic and said to Sue, this is why I came to Screwfix so I can get some screws as by this point I was getting quite frustrated with her awful attitude and lack of customer service. She was then said again I should of got them online and measured them and that they need to serve other customers (she was looking for an argument more than a resolution) I cannot understand this whole attitude, as a customer I visited a screw shop to get assistance on buying screws and did not enter to have a bad experience only to be greeted from the get go that "i don't think we can help you" after an hour round trip. To note, there were 4-5 staff behind the counter and 2-3 people in the shop at any one time. So they were more than over staffed to assist other customers. It was unpleasant and un-called for. It was a simple task to help me get some screws which turned into Sue not wanting to assist from the go and wanting to get me out of the shop. One person has now lost you a customer for life and I am sure her attitude will cost you more customers by treating customers as people who are simply "in the way". If your business model is to only order online and pickup, why have all the staff and tools to assist in helping customers? she is not fit to be in front of customers I assure you. Overall, disgusting way to treat a customer

Went to get a universal gas pipe with bayonet fitting gave the total opposite had to return it to get the right one need more training

I've lost the will to live after entering this shop and being told it's only to order yet it doesn't tell you that on the website! Just don't bother it's not worth the disappointment!! Have to give it one star cos it's so bad

The levels of security protocols when click and collect are impossibly high. If like me you always use an alias name online what ever the account to remain absolutely secure on screw fix can unravel that personal security. I was actually asked when collecting paid for goods today had I collected any of the order? I said no ! than she said can I just sign for the purchased goods I am taking today! Well if I had collected any of the order prior to today they would know that wouldn't they because u need to sign what you do take. So just that make no sense.

Fantastic service, so helpful. Wasn't exactly sure what fan I wanted as a replacement but the staff were excellent, opening actual boxes to check that I got the right one before purchase. The whole experience was positive and pleasant.

Wide range of stuff. Easy to check online if in stock nearby. Good for standard items that you don't need to see first but they will take back if you got it wrong. Saves time compared with other builders merchants.

Staff are friendly and knowledgeable but they hold very little stock. Of the 4 items I went in to purchase I came out with only one. Prices are much cheaper than elsewhere locally and are of a decent standard
