Great value breakfast with great

Last minute booking for Mother's Day lunch. Not busy although a few tables had "reserved" signs on them.Reasonably priced Sunday Lunch but food was not very good. We ordered 4 carvery type lunches and all were disappointing. Veg (cauliflower) not cooked properly, roast potatoes were not crisp, parsnips coated in too much sugar, turkey dry and rubbery, gravy was bland.Another guest paid £16 for a one patty burger with a small plate of chips which he said was flavourless.The only saving grace was the pasta dish one of the party ordered was very good.The desserts were also a let down; over £6 each - the crumble had too much fruit and not enough crumble, and the custard was served in a very small gravy boat which held approximately 3 tablespoons of custard. Anyone who loves custard on their desserts, knows you require lashings of custard!Least said about the other puddings the better.All in all after spending over £150 - left with a bad taste in my mouth!!

Food it s absolutely delicious! The reception staff is helpful and professional. The room was spotless and it was warm. The only downside was that the room where the breakfast was served it was cold and the breakfast was cold also, the plates should have been somehow heated. Overall, it was a relaxed atmosphere and we will return. The swimming pool looked very clean.

We tried to book in as a group which proved difficult, it was a little confusing to say the least, but got sorted eventually. The rooms are in desperate need of refurbishment and are in a poor state, which is not like any of the other Village Hotels ive stayed at. However, the place has loads of facilities and the staff are great.

The staff really make this a great place to stay. For me, considering the price & limitations to access various parts of the hotel (Without paying more), the staff are the selling point. Well trained, friendly & super helpful.Noteworthy details: The hotel has a traditional theme so don't expect state of the art like what you'd find in other hotels around the city. The rooms are quite small but cosy. The carparking can be busy so be prepared to walk from the bottom carpark to the entrance which isn't great if its raining. The room rate only allows access to the room.... Breakfast, Parking, Pool, Gym, Saudi etc are all extra costs which is disappointing. Overall, clean, Secure, Accessible and wonderful staff make this a nice, but not necessarily an economical place to stay. I am local to the area so probably a little bias.

Stayed here recently for the weekend. We had a slight blip with our first room. Within less than 20 minutes of using the QR code to raise the issue, we were moved to a new room. Staff were wonderful and really helpful. Only improvement would be additional vegetarian/vegan menu options at the restaurant. Otherwise, it's a really nice place to stay.

Fantastic hotel, great room and great nights sleep. The children loved the swimming pool, and the gym and the gym facilities are great. Breakfast was fantastic, both hot and cold variety?s available to set you up for the day.Definitely recommend this hotel.

Good. Nice hotel not a boutique hotel so don?t expect that. But clean nice environment, nice pleasant attentive staff. Spa and leisure facilities good. Breakfast was good and included with what I booked. Rooms clean and tidy. Really nice environment. Great deal if you book direct really great offer. Less than half price. Highly recommend would use again. Very enjoyable stay.
