Only added one Star as no availability to add ZERO
Booked a VIP party, which costs considerably more than a standard lane.
8 people. After an hour only, and we were half way though the first game as the party was so big, we were asked to leave because there was another party waiting.
Website states it takes APPROX 10 mins per person to bowl but nowhere does it state a time limit.
So halfway through a young lads birthday we had to leave.
They have clearly overbooked for more money because the logical thing would be to allow enough time so THIS DOESNT happen to anyone. Devastated children.
Pathetic and shocking customer service. Asked for a refund but have to ?fill in a form?.
What?s the point in having staff if they can?t help. Honestly.
Avoid this place at all costs. If you decide to go. Book a regular lane. And ensure you don?t have a time limit.

If the price wasn't so ridiculously expensive, I would have rated higher in stars. Hollywood bowl has gone stupidly expensive. Almost £62 for a family to have 2 games of bowling. And that's before any food, drink or arcades. Considering as a family we can get through 2 games of bowling in less than an hour, this works out extortionate. You'll need around £150 - £200 to take the family here now, if your wanting to okay bowling and eat and play the arcades for a while. And you won't be there more than 2 hours for that.
We used to come here all the time. But can now rarely afford what they charge.

We have visited here 2 times now for different birthday celebrations. We typically have played 2 rounds of bowling then spent half an hour to an hur in the arcade playing the different games. Most of the games give tickets as rewards and the prizes for the tickets are rather limited due to the small size of the arcade, however saying that our last visit we had just over 850 tickets and managed to get 5 light up inflatable swords and 3 pairs of flashing glasses to use when we go to a concert in the near future.
We have also used the pool tables for many games of pool. Pool table accepted card and cash at £1.50 per game. Food here is nice but again limited. We have taken advantage of the 3 for £13.99 deal both times we have visited and it has been enough to snack on between 7 adults. Drinks are reasonably priced. We usually get the jugs of pop and share those out between us.

Family night at bowling was great!
Service was good no waiting for drinks when playing.
One negative I do have was the lady behind the bar who wasn't in uniform so I'm guessing she was the manager, me and my family was all together at the bar but was being served separately so was waiting at least 10 minutes when it was my turn to be served she then ignored me and served a women who literally just walked to the bar, I pulled her and said I've been waiting 15 mins she then carried on and served the lady instead of myself.. I found this very rude and unprofessional..

Been several times to this particular site. Staff always seems stretched and only minimum numbers. However this afternoon Sunday Sept 22nd there was lots of staff. Unfortunately they were doing very little, the food app didn't seem to be working and was advised that someone will come and take our order Unfortunately 3 games later still no order taken after a couple of nudges. Pretty poor, at least 3 people behind reception when promised help!! Will book elsewhere in future .

Booked a lane for my daughter and some friends to celebrate her 10th birthday. Didn't book as a party, just a normal booking. Online booking was really easy, although one of the group options I could have selected wasn't available until early evening so had to pay individually.
There was a queue upon arrival but this dispersed quickly and our lane was ready for us so we didn't have to wait around. The lane was clean and we used the QR code to order drinks and also send some requests over to the DJ. There were plenty of bowling ball options and setting up the game was really easy.
We played 2 games, had drinks delivered to us quickly and then played some of the arcade games. I didn't order any food but other lanes around us did and dishes looked nice.
4 x 10 year old girls had lots of fun and I've already been asked to take them back.
Thanks Hollywood Bowl for a special treat for my daughter.

Went with my son, and we had a fantastic time. Staff were super polite and really helpful. We paid for games and drinks. Scanning the QR at you Lane is fantastic for ordering. However, there didn't seem to be anywhere on it to redeem the voucher, so I had to go up to the bar to do that. It's not a major issue, of course. It depends more on how busy it is.

Great venue for the family outing. If you are coming to showcase your bowling skills, try booking in advance for cheaper options and discounts. Though you will be able to get spots on the day too, especially if you're burning time while waiting for the cinema. You can have tons of fun with the arcade games as well, but be mindful as they'll suck the coins out of you, so be prepared!!! Advice: spend more of your time on the air hockey table as it is less time dependent than the other machines!!! ?
