First time visiting this particular Barnardo?s shop in Horwich, pleasantly surprised at the amount of stock & the prices.
My local Barnado?s in Chorley is really overpriced and I was expecting the same being the same charity - but it was brilliant, staff super friendly too.
I?ll definitely be back. ?

Fantastic shop with a good quality range of clothing/bedding and general brick a brac?.lovely friendly staff and a friendly environment to shop in. Overall a lovely place to visit

No idea what's happened here. Young ish girl on till absolutely no idea, couldn't work till couldn't understand a word i was saying and vice versa. Scared my items then tried overcharge me. Realised when arrived home I'm missing items so had to ring shop. Spoke to the guy who also now works there ( never seen either of them till today) he came back to tell me hes really sorry but for some reason the things I'd bought somehow were in a box next to till!!?? ( hes put them somewhere safe for me) Although the man was apologetic and seems nice it's not a good atmosphere anymore. Last time and most times I'm in here it's a few ladies who always chatty and helpful. Also noticed lots of clutter of things needing to be sorted out piled up near back of shop blocking anything really in that section you'd need climb over. Extremely un organised...I will go back in tomorrow but only to collect the items I paid for and doubt I'll go back anytime soon. Shame because it's always been well managed untill recently.

Going off the few reviews I've just read on trip advisor of there positive comments of buying from Barnardo's then fair do. But today Sunday 25th Sept 2022 I called in with 3 items to give them.One being a good M & S Ladies Black wool coat / a ladies Next top /& a plain mens black shirt.All the girl said was to the other member of staff are we taking them & tShe took them off me but no saying THANKYOU TO MEManners do not cost.So in future I will take my items to a charity shop in centre of Horwich as I've had thanks off them in the past. Pity they wasnt open on a Sunday

Staff do a fantastic job in this shop .There's always a good selection of stock which is sold at a reasonable price.As a person who makes his living buying from charity and visit over a 100 charity shops per week on average I think I can say that this shop and the staff are definitely rated within the the top 10% , without doubt !So get yourself along to this Barnardo's charity shop where you'll find not just a bargain or two ; but a friendly face or two awaits you where you can find out some local news and as my experiences have shown in my visits , have quite afew laughs which in these present times is not a bad thing at all !Great shop with fantastic staff .Thanks ,Mick.
