Booked a table for 2 , the music was blasting so loud we couldn't hear each other talk. The waiter didn't know what draught beers they had on, my husbands chicken was rubbery and overcooked so he sent it back, mine was nice, but then the waiter snatched my plate away and I hadn't finished...I was just having a minute, but instead of saying have you finished was everything ok, he just leant over me and took it, wont go back I'm afraid.

Food was very good however the waiting staff could probably use a bit more training as they didn?t know what disaronno was then brought it in a half pint glass

They gave us menus, then gave us a different one for fathers day.... Same deals but more expensive. Kinda like... here's what you could have paid. Then there was a load of shells in my food...

The service was excellent. My ham and mushroom pizza just tasted of cheese. Too much cheese. Couldn't taste any tomato base to it. The music was so loud we asked for it to be turned down, which they did for 10 minutes then turned back up again. Wouldn't go again.

Booked for 6 ,had to wait half hour to.be seated even though hardly any in restaurant, ordered drinks whist waiting that took.20 mins,food arrived quickly and heated as if been in a microwave, plates and dishes were chipped food was OK, staff very slow as if not sure what they weren't sure what to.do next.ordered pot of tea ,the tea came luke warm so they brought hot milk ,won't be returning anytime soon

Finally went to la cava this evening after passing many times. Absolutely amazing food, excellent quality. I had the 3 course meal with pasta. lovely! my partner had the steak, cooked to perfection. will definitely be back

Booked a table for 6, we arrived on time and were told table was not ready. No problem, we sat at the side of the bar.However time was getting on. I don't mind 10/15 mins of waiting but we have 3 young children. So best to get seated and get food ordered. Anyway 40 mins of waiting and I'd had enough. Explained to the young lad behind bar we were off. Not his fault and you could see he was genuinely apologetic about it. In comes manager. No apology. Just an explanation as to why table wasn't ready which didn't really make much sense.Won't be coming back In a hurry that's for sure.

Walked in and got ignored by everyone, there was people walking in front of us paying their bills before anyone even bothered to speak to us. Then waited 20 minutes to be seated even though we booked a table. There were people walking in after us getting their drinks before us. People being seated after us getting their food before us. Was given the bill with an extra 2 drinks and 2 desserts we didn?t have. Had to send the bill back twice as they amended it wrong. Food was average not like it used to be years ago when I came here regularly, standards have clearly slipped both food and service wise.

Firstly I am not one to leave reviews but I have to explain what I experienced tonight as I do not want anyone to have their occasion ruined like mine was.Firstly we were there for 3 hours which is totally unacceptable for 2 people the starters took what the full meal should have taken to arrive, they were the best thing about the meal but ridiculously long wait. Then onto the main course I paid extra for the sirloin steak and I've never been so disappointed I genuinely believe I could've cooked it better myself. The sauce was so watery and had no taste to it at all and the steak was like it had been in the slow cooker all day completely wrong texture for a steak. My partner ordered a pizza in which firstly came wrong which is understandable due to it being busy but yet the most disappointing thing is we never once got an apology about this and infact all night we didnt get an apology. This is the bare minimum you'd expect. The dessert was just standard you can't really go wrong.It then it came to waiting for the bill, it got to 20 mins without the bill coming before I went up to the bar to pay and they hadn't even started processing the bill, In fact the manger asked me what I ordered because he didn't know this is so unprofessional. We ended up paying the full amount which was disappointing I expected them to at least knock a few drinks off as a gesture of good will and becuase they have ruined our evening but they didn't. The meal took so long the table candle had ran out and as a talkative person even I ran out of things to talk about it took that long. All In all I definitely won't be going here on special occasions as I can guarantee it will ruin your occasion!
