Hi we called in for in for a birthday dinner pleasant staff clean and tidy, I noticed how cold it was in the restaurant ,we ordered drinks all good, we decided to have our starters and mains delivered at the same time 20 minutes later everything was delivered great ,but OMG everything was unbelievably salty, couldn't really taste the food because it was just so salty, mushrooms pasta sauce, pizzas and bread salty I have never experienced this in any restaurant that I've been to, it's a shame because the food looked amazing, it was ruined by the salt I cannot recommend this restaurant that's it I'm done .

Went tonight and they was quick enough to get me and my friend out it seemed very rude ! , once we had starters wanted us to have main straight away and then asked if we like the bill after main! Would not recommend should of got take away

We had a table for 2 for my partners birthday at 6pm yesterday. Really enjoyed everything. Food was excellent.
Parking: Parking is at the side of the building.

Last night 31/07/2024 I attended Il Vecchio with five friends. We were greeted by a lovely member of staff and shown to our table. The waiter came over when all guests had arrived to take our orders and that is where it all started to go wrong. The waiter was the rudest person we have ever been served by and we all eat out a lot. He was abrupt did not listen looked angry and despite one of the party asking for a Margarita pizza with no ham just mushrooms he did not listen so she repeated the order to him. When he read the order back to us she had to correct him ?no ham just mushrooms? when our meals arrived her pizza came with ham and no mushrooms despite telling him three times, he was just not listening. She then had to sit and watch us eat until they corrected her order. It was the worst experience we as a group have ever had, we go out together for a meal every month but will NOT be visiting this restaurant again They did not even offer my friend a drink whilst she sat watching us eat. Then to top it all we had to pay a £20.30 compulsory service charge for absolutely appalling service. Such a shame as the food was very good ?

The first time I went we were a party of six and everything was amazing I couldn?t fault anything the food the service the wait time it was all perfect although the second time I went the waiter was very dismissive he didn?t right our order down and due to allergies I?m unable to have garlic and onion he seemed to be confused at our order but went away anyway then when the food arrived there was quite a few things wrong with it but then we got another waiter and they were amazing super understanding and really apologetic. Overall I really enjoyed my visit to this restaurant and would absolutely go again.
Parking: Right next to the restaurant there is an open car park although most of the time it is rather busy.

I can not thank the staff enough for looking after our party of 8 as we celebrated my daughter's birthday, the food was scrumptious, the staff attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. I can't wait until we can go back again for another lovely evening.

Fathers day dinner with the wife's family.
It is a pleasant place, the staff were good, it was very busy, the food was decent and the portion size was fine.
Like everywhere the costs have risen dramatically. Starter mains and puddings, some drinks, £40 a person.

Il Vecchios is a beautiful restaurant in Heywood with impeccable service, the most authentic & tastiest Italian food and a wonderful pleasant atmosphere.
My girlfriend and I eat here a lot, they also offer a takeaway service - great for when we don't feel like dressing up. Its our go-to whenever we want good food and service that we can rely on 100% of the time.
The staff honestly make this place. The servers, bar staff and manager always have a smile on their faces. Keen to cater to your needs and will happily make pleasant conversation.
Pricing is very reasonable, for the 2 of us we typically spend about £30 each, that's for a starter, main and drinks - We sometimes have a desert but the portion sizes are very generous so we are usually quite full after our main or having it boxed up to take home, its too good of food to waste.
If you are looking for a genuine Italian with great service for a good price, I heavily recommend Il Vecchios, we go here for all of our celebrations
Dietary restrictions: My girlfriend is vegetarian and never has issues finding something she can eat
Parking: When looking at the restaurant from across the street, parking is to the left of the building

I have been going here for years and cannot fault the place. The food is incredible and very good value. The staff are very friendly. The atmosphere is always great.
