“Just went in for a nosey, but found some great bargains. Bought 3 items of clothing which were obviously expensive when new. Lots of summer gear in good condition. Ladies very helpful. All my items were £3-50, will be going back . Only wish things were in sizes instead of colour, but they looked inviting.”

“My mother has attended the dementia daycare program for 4 years since receiving a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s. Initially she was reluctant to go one day per week but is now attending 4 days per week and misses it on her days at home. The dedicated team have supported and encouraged mum to participate in activities she had never done before eg. table tennis, dominoes, puzzles. As this awful disease eats away at mum’s ability to control many aspects of her life, the team in the daycare give her a sense of belonging to the group. This gives mum the desire to get up each day and keep up with her routines. In addition, this team give time and support to us, the carers, where this is sadly lacking from clinicians and other sectors of society. Joanne, as team manager, has given us support far above and beyond anyone else we have encountered since mum’s diagnosis. We are hugely grateful to all the dedicated staff and volunteers. We would highly recommend using the daycare service to anyone with a dementia diagnosis.”
