Arrived at 13:30 on a busy Sunday, just myself and the wife. They got us a table instantly and whilst they mentioned there would be a bit of a wait for food we didn?t mind at all. We both had the steak and ale pie which was delicious! They even provided my wife with some carrot and swede mash on the side for free (as she?s pregnant and was craving some more veg). Despite the pub being full we never felt like we were waiting and staff were lovely!

Waited 30 minutes for orders to be taken then an hour for starters to appear. This was group booking made 3 weeks ago so they should have been prepared.

Lovely country pub with beer garden, flowers and hanging baskets were beautiful! Inside the dining room was comfortable, cosy and clean. The starters were a little overpriced but still very tasty. We ordered the Sunday roast sharer which was delicious!
Only issue we had was it was a sunny day and there was lots if flues buzzing about, but our waitress apologised about them when we paid the bill. Our first visit here and will definitely be returning. Thank you for a lovely meal xxx

I had coronation chicken and asparagus salad, as a main course, my advice don?t follow my lead, it was poor, the chicken was dry and over cooked, there were two slices of asparagus (not a full spear) I thought it was a starter, not coronation chicken at all ? all in all.. very poor? this pub could be so much better.. it?s being spoiled by greed ? one more thing to add.. the staff should be trained to ask the customer if they had any allergies.. as this ?so called? coronation chicken came with burnt almonds?

Had a nice meal here with my GF. Had a great pint of JW Lees craft Lager. Nice beer garden. I was there on a Monday night and it was very quiet.
