I?ve been coming here for years, but unfortunately, the last few times have been really disappointing. The food has either arrived cold, not tasted right, or in some cases, it?s been the completely wrong order. It?s such a shame because I?ve always loved this place, but I might have to start looking for a new curry house.

I was treated to a surprise birthday meal at the Taj Mahal in Farnworth, only to find 30 plus friends there when I arrived. The staff were marvellous serving pre ordered meals and making sure everyone was happy. All I heard was everyone saying how much they had enjoyed the food and the atmosphere of the place. Staff played a few lively songs as my cake was cut and served. Fabulous night all round!

Fantastic service, got sent out a tikka massala instead of madras, phoned them up and they was here with my complete order including madras in 15 minutes. The food is nice and very good value for money.

The best I've been to its our regular staff are just the funniest and the nicest always go move and beyond for customers as well as giving us free popadoms and we had a big birthday meal they brought out a free birthday cake was so lovely of them to do and oh my the cake was actually really nice which we taken home always have the best experience

Fantastic restaurant had a meal 9 guest and each and everyone complemented on how lovely the food was. The service was fabulous and the staff very welcoming and friendly. After my first poor experience the owner offered me a complimentary meal, which shows both good customer service but also that the owner knew this wasn't their usual standard.
I took him up on his offer this evening. The chicken was cooked really well and I enjoyed it.
I would say overall, it's exactly what I would expect for the price and good value.
Fair play to the owner for the service offered to make up for the initial issues.

I ordered set meal 1 for delivery.
When it arrived I was happy with the amount of food for the price.
Poppodums were nice, but you can't really get them wrong.
On to the mixed starter - the seekh kebab first was actually really tasty so I had high hopes for the rest of the meal but this is where things went downhill.
The onion bahji, I prefer them crisper but they are always a coin toss so not too bothered about that.
The chicken in the starter however, was kind of hard to bite, but not because it is overcooked, just because it had that consistency where it feels slightly undercooked (hard to explain on here).
It was unfortunate but it was only 1 piece of chicken so I thought never mind, I've got a whole curry to enjoy so won't get too caught up on that 1 thing.
However, the chicken in the curry itself was cooked the same. I had to spit it out and leave the whole thing. I probably could have pushed through and ate it despite the consistency but I had a genuine concern that eating it could have given me food poisoning.
I threw the whole thing away.
I just cannot understand all these high reviews, maybe the chef just dropped the ball with this order.

Fabulous as usual. Wonderful service by wonderful staff. The very best food, each and every time. I can't rate the Taj Mahal more highly. On a personal point, I wouldn't go anywhere else. There are just not enough stars to offer this establishment. From walking in through the door to walking out, it is a great experience.
