Overall, our stay was good, and the main reception staff were helpful. However, our low review rating is due to the poor service we received in the breakfast area from a waiter named Mariesa. It felt like we didn?t exist to her?she ignored us and spoke to us rudely.
We noticed that Mariesa was cheerful and attentive to all other guests in the restaurant, except us. Unfortunately, we were the only brown, Asian-looking individuals there. For instance, she asked the family at the table behind us, ?Are there any allergies we need to know about before ordering?? In contrast, she curtly asked us, ?You don?t have any allergies, do you? What?s your order??
The second morning was no better. We were met with the same grumpy, dismissive attitude from Mariesa, while she remained bubbly and joyful with everyone else. My wife had to approach her directly to request hot milk because Mariesa seemed intent on ignoring us. To add to the frustration, we were charged £12.99 for it.
While I would consider staying again because everything else was fine, it?s 2024, and no one should have to feel this way. People like Mariesa need to change their mindset or reconsider working in a customer-facing role. Perhaps a role outside of hospitality would be more suitable for her.

The eatery is losing customers... I was deeply disappointed with last night's dining experience. The ribeye was extremely dry, overcooked, and lacked freshness, which was not consistent with the quality I experienced previously. Additionally, my son?s Kids? Meal was inadequate, consisting of only three pieces of corn, and the burger was unacceptably dry, served without any ketchup.

Service was extremely poor, we waited an hour before having to ask for the starter, then waited another hour for the main course, half of it was barely warm. We didn't order any dessert went to the supermarket instead

I was a little disappointed tonight, the festive menu is now available and we decided to try it. 2 courses £22, 3 courses I think was £25, the drinks first service was very good, later orders were taken, and we waited and waited, one of our party had a starter and hers arrived eventually and it looked like a plain uninteresting plate of pate with 3 tiny pieces of bread, the only colour on the plate was the small amount of onion chutney. The rest of the meals were under par, sorry to say it I won't be going again, can't fault the staff and atmosphere of the place, but there are too many things wrong to say here.

Visited on 9th November, 2024 with five friends. The food was lovely the atmosphere was great and Jodie, our waitress, could not have been better. She anticipated our needs before we did was attentive and friendly and couldn?t have been more helpful. Will definitely be there again.

Great food at a great price. Staff were really nice when I went with my mum ad dad for my mums birthday. Unfortunately there was a large group eating next to us who were very loud and very other word was a swear word. Not the fault of the staff or the pub but it did spoil the atmosphere.

Visited last Friday 1st November 2024 and enjoyed our visit with my Son and Grandson. Ellie waitress looked after us and had time to chat and made us welcome.

Food prices are extortionate. The quality of food is bog standard. It's between £16 -£22 for a main meal! With the quality of food they offer, plus the fact they make you sit in the bar, order the food yourself and eat it in the bar, the meals should be priced around £10 - 13.
