We had a great kitchen designer called alima who listened to our needs and designed our kitchen beautifully which functioned perfectly for our family. I couldn?t ask for anything more from the team. After speaking to several brands we settled for the wickes kitchen due to Alima?s creative design and attention to the small details. Thanks

Called to buy 8x4 sheet of plaster board for my daughter. I knew it would need cutting to fit in my estate car and asked for some help with the sheet. A young guy called Will offered some help which was really appreciated and he couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. Big thanks to him.

Go Woke, Go Broke. Wickds is so far behind the other stores in terms of making Tradesmen feel valued. Avoid.

I bought 4 packs of timber 2 weeks ago, 19mm x 1.8m treated battens priced at £22 per pack.( thought a tad expensive). Went back this Sunday the 5th November, new price of £30 per pack, decided not to bother. A price of over 30%, daylight robbery.

I went in to the bury store today n I ask an assistant which glue is best to stick my laminate floor to concrete? And the assistant say I really don't know I'm not sure!! so I said can't you find someone than can help me plz and walking bk they said don't know much about what best for my laminate. I said that no good to me I'm not buying just anything and it doesn't work that wasting my money wasn't helpful at all. I think staff should be trained to know what best to help customers.

Really POOR customer service from an UNbothered bored, rude sales assistant. I went to the Bury store today. The assistant serving me clearly hates her job or doesn't know how to do it, possibly both, because she had absolutely zero customer service skills and rude as hell. I didnt catch her name tag but she had shoulder length blonde hair with a nose-piercing in the middle of her nose, late teens early 20s.Firstly I took my items to the front till. I asked her to scan my Nectar barcode on my phone, she pretended to do something with the scanner and it made a beep. It hadn't gone through but she didnt think it was important to mention that to me. Its only when I asked her "did that work?" she shrugged her shoulders and said no it hasnt, we don't do nectar here. So I pulled out my phone and showed her Wickes IS a nectar partner. But that wasn't the worst thing. I told her I was going to try and order my goods online whilst in the store via my nectar app and quickly do a click n collect instead. She then said "we don't do click and collect on the same day" , so I showed her my phone screen and sure enough it said "ready in 30 mins". At this point I thought she's a new employee who probably hasn't had any decent training so I just ignored it.However, it was her attitude that was the issue. When I asked her a question about the shade of the paint I ordered, she shrugged her shoulders and said "I dont know" but made no eye contact whatsoever. There was only 1 other customer being served at that moment, and the store was pretty much empty. So as im stood there right next to the counter waiting for my click n collect, there was now another young male assistant who looked like he might have been checking my order on his device and processing it. They seemed to be whispering something and doing some sort of non-verbal gestures to eachother, which made me feel extremely awkward as I was standing infront of them. As somebody who has severe anxiety, their behaviour was really unsettling to me. I was on my own in a pretty much empty store, and the 2 of them were giving eachother side glances, it was all very "mean girl" childish obnoxious behaviour like you'd expect to see in a primary school.About 3 minutes later I received a text with a security pin, saying it's ready. I was literally only stood 2 metres away so when I walked to the counter and said "its saying my order's ready" she looked at me and said "you need a pin". I replied "thats why im here because ive received it". When I gave her the code, she said absolutely nothing, and was looking at her male colleague, who clearly was more important than the paying customer standing infront of her (me). I felt extremely awkward at the silence and was waiting for 1 of them to say "here's your things" or ATLEAST a smile and a thankyou, seeing as she didn't seem to know many other words! She just stood there looking bored and annoyed at her life... Instead, it was ME who asked "so can I take them?" her reply was "yeah you can take em". No Smile, no thankyou, no additional words. So I returned the favour and left without a thankyou. If you don't like talking to people and interacting like a HALF civilised adult, don't work in a customer service role, simple! But don't stand there with a face like a slapped backside and make your customer feel awkward! Youre not an A&E doctor, your job really isnt THAT hard or stressful, as you demonstrated today because you seemed more interested in keeping the attention of the young man next to you lol. You just need to remember 2 words: please and thankyou. Not a HUGE ask! You work in a DIY store luv, not Chanel. Humble yourself

We had our bathroom done just over a year ago and everything seemed fine. The design and consultation process is good and they came up with some good ideas. Fast forward a year however and the bathroom is falling apart, the front panel of the bath hasn?t been cut correctly causing it to bulge out in places, gather water and crack and pull away from the sealant in others, we had a builder in to do our kitchen and he confirmed it was a poor fit, not a big deal we?re in warranty so contacted Wickes to get it sorted, they asked for a photo, said it was impact damage and closed our case! Wouldn?t let us open another and getting through to customer services is basically impossible.

Not going again. Those bollards seem like they're only there to annoy you; there's enough of that carp in the world already.

I asked for my ensuite to be completely removed, parts provided and installed.I asked for a complete figure. No hidden costs.Low and behold, a sub-contractor attends and they have costs. This sub-contractor is so bad I am going through early stages of legal proceedings where one of their habits is to provide invoice after invoice for jobs I've paid for, did not agree too or did not even have done.Back to Wickes. All the items that were due for delivery did not arrive. All the parts that arrived were broken, on some occasions, replacement parts were delivered broken. We agreed black accessories and I now have a mix of chrome and black, which does not match the ensuite colour scheme we picked back on the agreed black.Any contact I've had with Wickes has been pointless. I will never go back to Wickes and I share my experience with anyone who ever mentions anything to do with home improvements.I am waiting on Trading Standards to respond to my submission regarding Wickes and the sub-contractor they hired.

You need £5'000 first and then a good credit file. For a £10,000 kitchen, you need deposit for £1,000, £2,700 to get your kitchen turned into a blanc canvas (plastered etc), upto a £1,000 for the floor and wall tiles, and finally a sink which might cost upto £500.00. You DO NOT get told this on the first instance. I hope this really has helped anyone.

Ordered some tiny accessories online. First time visited this store. Quite spacious though not as large as a regular B&Q. Collected the order and left right away.

I'm very happy with my new wickes own brand heat gun. I originally purchased the einhell gun which broke on me after the second use but the lady in store kindly rectified it for me and allowed me to exchange it for the wickes own brand which is much better ?.

The staff at Wickes are very helpful but occasionally difficult to find. I think that prices are better value than B&Q etc. I found it very useful to be able to buy big sheets of kingspan. I also found different sizes/pack quantities of wood and shopping in Wickes and B&Q meant that I got a good range, some from each.
