Had the pleasure of staying at The Village Hotel, can not thank Claire enough for her support and service during my stay. She ensured my dietary requirements were met and asked me daily if I was happy with what was arranged! Not once did she make me feel uncomfortable during the discussion process. She really is an asset to the team you have present at The Village Hotel. Thank you Claire and hope to experience your service again !

Absolute shambles of an establishment. I booked a family room after bringing my son over for he?s birthday we arrived late and I had rang to confirm the details that morning when we arrived there was no bedding on the second sofa bed no even a pillow was there I then had to wait another 30 mins for the stuff to be dropped to the room . Window in bathroom would not close making the room freezing cold for 2 nights straight when my son is asthmatic ! We went down to the next morning and I paid seperate to my booking for the worst breakfast I?ve ever seen vile is an understatement I then was refunded for the food.the public toilets still had half empty pint glasses around the areas where these kids have to go this is not family friendly at all.

The 2 stars were for the restaurant service with the evening meal. Probably not enough staff especially with it being so popular.

Met family there, so didn't use facilities or stay there. Had food in the bar, though. It was expensive, for it was, unfortunately, I couldn't eat the wrap as too spicy, but that was my fault. I'll stick to plain next time. Ran out of the non alcohol beer I was on after the first one. Staff were helpful and friendly, nice surroundings and atmosphere

Only used for the hot dressing facilities. Ideal desks. The only issue I had was the toilets were outside the office and a long walk away so maybe not so secure.

Really enjoyed my overnight stay here. Clean, warm rooms. Nice bar for an evening drink and a super Starbucks too.

I had a booking for this hotel for about 2/3 weeks and after doing a 12 hour shift and driving to get there for 2.5 hours, I got there at 11:30 at which point they told me that they had overbooked. They told me I had to book a travel lodge as all the rooms were full. As to why they couldn?t call me beforehand, there was no good reason.I got to the travel lodge and the lady at the desk told me that if I booked 8 minutes later, they wouldn?t have been able to accept my booking. That room was not nice and the bathroom didn?t feel clean.I had the village booked for two nights after that, at which point I had to speak to managers twice, I was never approached to resolve what had happened. The first time, I called ahead of arriving to make sure that I had my booking. They did not care about me having to book another hotel the night before that was significantly worse. He wanted to get off the phone as quickly as possible. He even wanted to charge me for a no show fee and acted like he was doing me a favour for cancelling it. When I got there, he checked me in and wanted to get onto the next customer. He didn?t mention anything about compensation until I brought it up, to which the response was that they will get back to me. The second time, they told me that they would resolve the issue before I left and said that they would email me the next day. They did not. I guess my compensation is that they did not charge me extra for not showing up.On top of that, the barbecue wings suck and are not worth the calories of eating them.

This establishment can only be described as an absolute cesspit. Despite receiving an email promising a free joining fee, my decision to bring my wife and daughter for a day pass turned into a costly disappointment. Upon arrival, we were unexpectedly charged £58 for a mere one-hour swimming session.Eager to begin our aquatic adventure, we headed straight to the family changing rooms. However, what greeted us was an overpowering stench of urine and floors littered with tissue, hair, and various unidentifiable substances adorning the walls. The attached pictures fail to capture the full extent of the repulsiveness due to the presence of other users, but they are sufficient evidence of the abhorrent conditions. Holes in the walls, collapsed drains, and the unmistakable presence of bodily fluids suggest neglect and a lack of proper maintenance. These are not mere water marks or stains; they are remnants of DNA left to fester within the walls for an extended period. My wife ventured into the female changing rooms with our daughter, while I made my way to the male section. To our dismay, my wife encountered an 11/12-year-old boy freely roaming the premises as his mother changed. This blatant disregard for privacy and security is deeply concerning. Finally, when we managed to enter the pool itself, we were met with what can only be described as an ice bath. The discomfort was unbearable, prompting us to cut short our visit. On our way out, we voiced our dissatisfaction to the young receptionist, only to be met with a dismissive "ok" in response. In conclusion, this establishment falls far short of acceptable standards. Its deplorable conditions, lack of professionalism, and disregard for customer experience make it a place to avoid at all costs.
