Half the population of Bury is below average...... and they shop in Tesco on Friday.I loaded my cart and headed for the till. Halfwit gentleman before me is at the checkout with his shopping."£238" says the lady.Halfwit man looks at her for fully 30 seconds...... like it's a surprise.....nay....a shock....... that the lady isn't allowing him to have free shopping this week. Then he starts hunting pockets.... one at a time. After another 30 seconds he produces............ wait for it....... a phone! He then spends another thirty seconds scrolling through and through and through his phone.By this time I'm slumped onto the conveyor belt which fortunately was moving at the same speed he was!He looks up in triumph and waves the phone in the general direction of the card reader.Nothing.The lady levers the twonks arm down and uses the hand held to read the credit cardBut no......He was waving his Tesco card."£215" says the lady.He looks down at his phone.... again..... and I calculate if I have time to bob to Costa for a coffee. He starts scrolling..... again.... and scrolling. Another 30 seconds. He finds the credit card details and she again lowers his arm to the reader.........Relief.......but no....."Did it read the coupons?" The halfwit asks.I'm staring, incredulous and open mouthed at the moron now. Why, oh why, do people not appreciate that they do have to pay at the till? It's not a surprise. It happens every time ..... I do mean every time....... without fail...... ever.

Really bad customer service. Got blamed on face for some clothes on the floor which wasn?t done by me. I still helped in putting it on, however, things should be checked before blaming customer who did not even do the mistake in the first place!

Hmmm again .....It would seem to me that Tesco are trying there hardest to blind the general public, this Tesco card there so proud of there reductions are rediculas, considering the amount of profits they brag about each year, I would have expected a decent reduction not peanuts.Even ther gift token they send out to you, do you need to spent a bundle each week, before you get a decent voucher, £2.50 to use in Tesco what can you bye with £2.50 a paper clip.Sorry but this whole card business is rubbish to make more profits for Tesco and empty the poor man's pocket even more.Staff in Tesco look like there day dreaming on the job, and why do you need to change all the lanes each month, you just get use to finding what you want and everything's in a different place, do Tesco know how annoying this stupid practice is to customers.Sorry but I would not recommend Tesco to any one.The club card is a con the prices of the club card you can get the same and even less in other shops.

Shocking customer service with this lady.( I have never experienced this such treatment from the same store as I go there once/twice weekly, most of the cashiers know me)I queued at the checkout for more than 10mins with my three young children. The cashier, blonde hair lady named Lisa, asked the gentleman in front of us to shut the gate and told us that she stopped serving as she finishes at 1pm. (Around 12:45pm that moment).I asked if she could do mine before she finished as I have been waiting there for more than 10mins and it could be another 20mins waiting if I switch to other cashier due to the long lines everywhere. But obviously she refused.Ok, I wasn?t mad at that point as I fully understand that she might need to work over time if she helps us. So I shuffled to the next available til. After that, we realised that she?s still serving the rest of the customers who came up to her till which finally put me off.Is she picking on us? Kind of discrimination? Thats the only reason I could think of.My husband went to her and asked, why is she still serving other people if she told us that she?s finished. (She lets around 3 or 4 customers after us to check out at her til)The answer she gave us was because we are buying too much. What a ridiculous answer.

Basically appalling.I did the ?scan as you shop? thing. I wanted to pay with cash. No big deal; just go to one of the self scan machines that take cash. Of course for some reason the slot for notes is broken. Not being funny; but maybe put up a sign!!?? I read all the signs carefully, some machines were card only; which is fair enough. There was nothing on this machine to indicate it didn?t take cash.Anyway; no big deal, I call one of the staff over to help. The poor lad is trying his best to help. Wouldn?t you know, the machine is out of till roll, so there?s no way to transfer my purchase to another machine or till. By this point there?s two members of staff involved in this sad circus. Both apologising profusely. Both also tending to other shoppers; it seems most of the machines are having some sort of problem. In the end I had to go to a till and rescan everything; the more experienced staff member assured me that it would be far simpler and easier. At least this turned out to be true.If these two members of staff were not busy trying to tend to broken machines, and just served on the tills instead; I think everyone?s lives would be easier.Excuses don?t change outcome. This is an abject failure, Tesco.Just do better. No; being sorry about anything isn?t going to help.Stop running a shop with broken machines and putting your staff through undue stress for no reason.Reading the other reviews; it seems that I might well have a parking ticket coming in the mail due to an issue with ANPR camera. I?m looking forward to it! Already have a solicitor in mind.

Called in just after lunchtime yesterday. Went to collect my self scan, Star Trek phaser thingy. (It's shopping Jim but not as we know it) when it seemed to malfunction.I didn't even have the time to look for assistance when young Zac appeared. In warp speed he solved whatever the problem was and had me on my way, spending my hard earned in your fine emporium. All done with a bit of cheery banter too! Take note Tesco; management material there, either that or chief engineer on a starship! Thanks again Zac
