The most wonderful receptionist. She was kind, friendly and welcoming. The rooms are standard rooms great for a night. The location is perfect for exploring Manchester as the team stop is a few minutes walk away and goes direct into the city.

Great helpful staff on check in. Cheers Darrell. Only niggle was room at the back was right next to train tracks and caused a bit of an issue sleeping.

A decent and reasonably priced hotel with exceptionally welcoming and friendly staff.
The usual standard Premier Inn experience; good value, exceptionally comfy beds, clean rooms and clean bathrooms.
Rooms and corridors are starting to get a bit tired looking and carpets could do with a replacement throughout. Considering the price though, this isn't really anything major.
Breakfast is a self-serve buffet off continental and full English, all of which was good quality. Staff at breakfast are exceptionally friendly and welcoming.
Check-in is self serv via a touch screen, but staff are on hand if necessary.
Parking is at Q-Park opposite, separate from the hotel. It's £11 to park overnight, and there are some electric charge points at an additional cost on the main car park level.

I've got a bit of a mixed review..
On the one hand the staff were very helpful, our ETA on our night of arrival was 11.30pm on Friday 14th March, due to traffic, travelling up from Kent.. we phoned ahead to make sure we would be able to get in, and they kindly gave the night team a heads up.. we didn't actually arrive until around 1am, due to closed roads etc.. we got in with no issues and a speedy check-in. The entrance was a bit hard to find, for people that had never been to the area, but we were directed in the right direction, by another party that were staying there.. we parked in the secure parking next to the hotel, and the staff kindly talked us through how to do this.. breakfast was lovely with a large selection of foods.. all freshly prepared and tasty! We had no hiccups on Saturday and came and went from the hotel in the morning and evening.. may i add that the beds are super comfy! We were supplied with clean towels, but they did not take the old ones away.. no remote control for the TV.. there was a kettle, tea, coffee, and sugar available.. a hairdryer and clean bathroom.
On Sunday morning, luckily, we had gotten up early, and my partner had gone to put our bags in the car before we headed for breakfast.. this was at around 7.30 am.. he phoned me and said, "You best hurry, you've got 25 minutes to eat breakfast!!" We were not told that the hotel had a booking for 60 school children, and we had to have eaten and been out the way ready for them to descend on the dining rooms! When I said about us not being forewarned about this.. we were told that there were signs up.. I did not see any signs.. luckily, I managed to speedily get ready and get down to have some breakfast, but our plates were being cleared from under our noses as soon as you put your cutlery down! I was not prepared to give myself indigestion when we had paid for breakfast both mornings!
As a whole, it was not an unpleasant stay, but a few things that let them down.

Just stayed for the one night. The room was clean and tidy as you would expect but for a town centre hotel, exceptionally quiet, a very peaceful night's sleep was had. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Parked the car in the secure underground CP right next to the hotel for peace of mind. Would definitely stay there again.

Where to start?
Woken up on a Sunday morning at 8 a.m. with a repeated fire alarm going on/off. So tired, just got up to have a shower. No hot water.
Upon leaving, no apology, just "some kids set the alarm off". I think they must have be allowed to set the alarm off at least five times. Utter B/S. I do not like being lied to.
Talking of B/S the "A good night's sleep guaranteed - money back under the Good Night Guarantee" is a complete lie. Despite the above, head office decide the above was in the morning and we clearly had slept.
Will not be staying here again. There better hotels in the area and better Premiere Inn branches. Oldbury near Birmingham is much better.
Staff and the training of those staff make a huge difference.

Don't like self checkin, especially when a member of staff stands right next to you watching you and telling you what to do. If you are going to employ someone to watch the self checkin just employ them as a receptionist. Technology for the sake of technology, not even cost cutting as the member of staff is still there!!!

We always have the best time at Bury premier inn. Everyone was amazing. Nothimg is too much trouble especially Kristina who went above and beyond to help me with a dress issue. She was amazing. Thank you so much. Helen
