It has been really tricky for me to open a bank account. I wanted to open a savings account for a future house deposit. I chose nationwide because of their information provided online. I went to the brand and applied for a savings account online. At first, I received an email asking for proof of ID and address. I was prepared with all my documents so I asked one of the staff again. He was very kind and helpful. I don't have the usual UK citizen documents so it took longer and I provided everything he asked for. I was treated with dignity and he was polite and enthusiastic and I really appreciate it.

I had a terrible experience here, the member of staff was totally unhelpful, uninterested and in experienced, we were in a side part and he kept having to go and ask at the desk. I don?t think he was learning - just incompetent. He left me terribly confused and I didn?t manage to get everything I wanted sorted.

It was okay,the one problem was that only one person at the counter and only one counter open so quite a long wait,the greater need the door could not help and the other staff at the desk was busy, all of them could not resolve my questions,so they sent me an instruction to solve my request via email which still did not help, so I am back to square one again.

Usually we just use the cash machine outside this branch. Have used the inside machine once and the lady on the door was very helpful. It is located in a pedestrianized area, so it is a walk from the car parks nearby. There is also no overhead cover at all, so on rainy days you will get wet if you need to use this branch. Wide doors and smooth entrance make it a doddle for disabled. Any difficulties and the staff are happy to assist.

Nationwide provide a friendly and welcoming banking service for it's customers with a brand new branch in Bury with a high tech touch screen ATM inside staff are very professional and I recommend this branch unreservedly 10 out of 10 ???

New branch but still only 2 desks. As it has been for many many years big queues and slow service, very poor planning. I was hoping nationwide would have learnt from the queues at the last branch which sometimes went outside
