If I could give zero stars I would.Absolutely appalling! Been with this practice for over 25 years, and going downhill rapidly. The male receptionist is extremely rude, and clearly not doing his job. Ordered a repeat prescription on a Thursday was told it would be ready Monday after 4pm at the pharmacy.Went to the pharmacy on the Tuesday, the prescription hadn't even been sent to them from next door. Had to go into the GP practice, and the male receptionist hadn't even done the prescription!!Just frustrating that the basics aren't even being done and met this is my health!!!Was also waiting for a referral which had apparently been done and sent off, over a year on and still no referral appointment, I chased this with the surgery, and it had not even been done nor sent off!!The doctors can't be bothered, don't listen to what you say. This resulted in me paying a private gp service for an appointment, diagnosis made on the same day and appropriate medication!

I have recently had to change my GP after 30 years of being with Huntley Mount. This was due to so many things going wrong with this practice the last couple of years. The main problem is the male receptionist who usually answers the phone. It always feels like he?s not listening and several times he has told me ?we?ll look into that for you? and tried to end the call without even asking for my name.I also called the surgery when I became pregnant a year ago and was told that Bury residents have their antenatal care at Oldham and given the link to register with Oldham hospital which is incorrect. This mistake ended in me having to transfer my care to North Manchester late in pregnancy and only getting my first midwife appointment at 32 weeks pregnant. I have also had nurse appointments made for me at the surgery when I needed a GP appointment, resulting in the nurse calling me to say she doesn?t deal with that and me having to call the surgery to rebook.Another problem I?ve had is that I paid for the doctor to fill in some travel insurance forms for me and waited 2 months to receive them back. I chased them up several times, once being told they were waiting for a member of staff who comes in once a week to do paperwork - then the next week being told it had been passed to Dr Butt. Several times I chased them up and they said they?d be ready in a few days and never got back to me. I even attended the surgery in person one time for an update and after looking in the computer the receptionist told me they were waiting for me to have my nurse appointment for my immunisations for travel - I asked what this was for as the forms I needed were for a holiday cancellation (to a country I would not need to have jabs for - Spain!) and he seemed totally confused. It seems they lost the forms for a few weeks but kept making up excuses to hide that. I understand how busy the GP is, but I don?t think they should be picking up what they call ?private work? if they don?t have the spare time to be doing it. I could?ve paid an actual private doctor to do it for me within a couple of days. The running of the surgery seems to be a complete mess which is a shame as I have been with Huntley Mount for most of my life and have only recently started to have problems. I am already getting much better service at another surgery and I only changed over to them a week ago.

I just put one star to be able to write a comment otherwise they don?t deserve any star! One of the worst GP ever.Believe or not I was waiting 5 month for a signature (which I had to pay for) and excuse was dr is busy!!! Well I believe it?s a family business however they are not successes and I recommend them to try for kebab shop instead maybe they can get better reviews.

Useless, I wouldn?t bother with them. I would say more but I could write an essay. Just choose a different surgery if you can

Getting appointment is impossible. Never get any appointment . Male receptionist is rude as well as the manager. They just give you suggestions to do this ,do that instead of booking any appointment.Been registered with this surgery was my big mistake

Brilliant GP practice. Staff are welcoming, friendly on the telephone and in person.Val and Hamza on reception are very helpful and deal with any request efficiently, they always aim to sort any query out.Dr Butt and Nurse Rosanna are extremely friendly, thorough and kind, which goes a long way in the fast paced NHS environment when under such pressures we all hear about.Whether it be for myself or my children, we are looked after brilliantly and treated with kindness by the polite and helpful staff.Thank you to all the staff at Huntley Mount.

They are useless. You can?t get an appointment if you need one and if they have to do anything it goes to someone else. I?m not even sure a doctor works there anymore

Lovely GP practice with amazing staff and services! The one star complainers below have so much entitlement it?s unbelievable ? how about you trying working in an NHS service and see how you get on? It?s not easy and the staff are doing their best to cater to your needs, however they are not miracle workers. There is only so much they can do, you should appreciate whatever it is that they can offer. If you have to wait for something, you have to wait, end of story, and this is for ALL medical practices, no matter where you go.And if you?re rude to staff, how else are they supposed to respond? They do their best to be professional with you and offer their support but you?re not happy with it? Sounds like a you problem. If you?re that entitled and think you deserve higher treatment than anyone else, go somewhere else. I guarantee you the next practice you go to won?t tolerate your behaviour either. As for GP appointments, they only do them on the day and don?t pre-book them like other practices do because then they won?t have a back log of appointments. You?re lucky to even get them on the day! My previous practice never had appointments for a GP available for at least two months because of all the patients they had pre-booked! You would be complaining a hell of a lot more if this practice did the same thing, which thankfully they do not. NHS 111 is always an option if you don?t manage to get an appointment.Honestly none of you know what you?re talking about (evident in the way that a majority of you one star reviewers can?t even spell) so if you?re that unhappy, transfer somewhere else. The staff here don?t deserve your awful attitudes and complaints.Best GP in Bury!

Male receptionist is rude. Getting an appointment is impossible. I handed in medical forms march 2022, they lost them. My medical ran out may 22. So far I have handed in 4 medical forms. As off today I still have not had the medical! I get covid is still around and I personally am not one to ask for an appointment unless it is absolutely necessary. Which my medical was last year and is now extremely necessary!!Since the practice was taken over from Dr Demetrio it has gone down hill.Don't get me wrong Dr Butt is a nice caring doctor, his staff on the other hand are not

You'll have to jump through hoops just to book an appointment, let alone be seen. They really need to change their protocols especially for a medical centre. Sick and worried people are reaching out to them. It's their health we're talking about. Yet the reception was very dismissive. I've tried to live with my symptoms for a very long time just because I didn't want to deal with this experience again.

I've always been made to feel welcome at this practice and received the highest level of care, that's from the reception staff and nurses, right through to the GP's who are fabulous.Dr Butt in particular, I find to be a very kind and caring doctor, who I feel understands my history and despite his very busy practice, seems to remember me and my medical background. In the few years I have been with this practice, I've never received anything but the highest care and been treated with kindness and respect.I have moved house since originally registering, so the practice is not as close as it was, but I haven't / wouldn't want to move to a different / closer GP practice, simply because the care my baby boy and I receive here, is second to none.I don't envy the staff here though, as it can be a difficult environment to work in. On several occasions I have witnessed them having to deal with some very difficult / rude patients, but I have always found that even under pressure, they are consistently polite and helpful.I am a busy working mum in a senior leadership role in Manchester centre, so it's not always easy for me to take time off work or make a f2f appointment even when I need to, so I have always appreciated the fact telephone appointments can be available. However, recently, when I have been particularly poorly and needed to be seen & checked over, they booked me in and a GP saw me at short notice.Even during Covid, when I gave birth to my baby boy, I was worried about a lump developing on the back of his skull.Face to face appointments weren't taking place at that time, however when I brought him in for his routine vaccines, Dr Butt ensured he came out in between his appointments to check over my newborn and alleviate any concerns I had.Again, nothing but the highest level of care from all staff at every touch point, phone, reception, nurses and doctor.I wouldn't go anywhere else.Thank you to all at Huntley Mount.Leanne S
