I wouldn't be caught dead as a Halifax customer!Because of the hell you've put us through trying to close my deceased grandmother's account.Other building societies offer private space, support, and advice.Not Halifax! You demand unnecessary information, offer no privacy, and are rude.I'm almost surprised you didn't demand we bring her ashes.

I have had a lot of issues with reactivating a dormant account in other halifax branches but Samiya in the Bury branch was absolutely amazing. Cannot rate them highly enough. They sorted everything.

Extremely difficult to deal with and also to contact very poor interest rates and if you should wish to draw anything out of your account over £1000 you are going to get a barrage of questions. Why are you drawing out your money? What do you intend to do with your money?. I don?t think they seem to realise that the money in the bank does not belong to them it belongs to the account order That?s why I have switched to a different bank with a much better interest rate. They have now blocked me from transferring all my direct debits and I find it very difficult to get in contact with them so my suggestion is if you are thinking of opening an account with the Halifax I would think again

Worst staff ever my £1 ticket in the parking machine ran out staff are absolutely rude and one elderly member of staff should be retired by now instead of taking out her anger on customers. She behaves as though you are withdrawing money from her account. Absolute joke of a bank

Every time I visit this bank ( I?m a support worker) so visit quite often, the queue is always long & it takes forever to be seen, & can cause the ppl I support lots of anxiety.Thank goodness I do online banking.

In November 2022, I went in to this branch to change my name on my account. I went in 3 times and my name is still the same - no change! The queue is so long and staff are minimal and slow so it can take from 30 minutes upto an hour in this branch. Probably the worst branch i've visited and i've visited smaller branches before.

Long queue.Person I spoke too didn't seem interested in what I had to say.I'm giving her a 2 because she remained fairly professional with the customer before me screaming about his benefits and mail strikes and hadn't caught her at her best time. This one of the most generous reviews I have ever written normally rate as a 1 outta 5

Here's a place that's taking us all for a ride, you get know 0% on you money you have in the Halifax, and when you get interest the Halifax, take a percentage for re modeling there banks on your money.The machines for getting money out only give you what they want you to have 10s and 20s, no fivers, where other banks give fivers.The machines are either working on week or out of order the next, or giving you all 10s which is a pain, the machines are so slow by the time you've done what you need to theres a qew of people waiting.Dont get me started on the staff at desk in Halifax, the qew is out the door, know management have reduced it down to 2 tills.What's the thing where you can only take out so much money or you have to order it, whos money is it ant way, your customers and you have the bare face to say they can only take so much out.Reception is useless because theres never any one on as you walk through the door, depositing money in the machine can be a night mare, so when you ask staff, it's like your treated like some child, and there attitude leaves a lot to be desired.

Terrible service one of the worst banks in the town. Inexperienced staff who take 30 mins per customer. Absolutely ridiculous should be shut down for terrible service
