I went into the bury store on the 4th May and was purchasing two Father?s Day cards. One of the cards I chose didn?t have an envelope with it. I checked other cards with the same design but they didn?t have any either so I went to the till and said I couldn?t find an envelope for it. The lady (Jane) said I?ll put the transaction through and then find you an envelope. She then finds me an envelope but it has a noticeable black mark down the side so I said I?m sorry but do you have a clean envelope (I paid £3.50 for the card so wanted a clean envelope). She huffed at me and goes back over to look for another one and then comes back with one that?s miles too big. Again I apologised and said is there any that fit correctly just as it was obviously not the right size to the card. The lady that was there next to Jane asks what?s she?s looking for to which Jane turns to her and says ?she isn?t happy with the envelope because of this tiny mark?. Jane proceeds to say she can?t find another envelope so she?d call her manager to see if she can sort a refund. Her female manager (unsure of her name) comes over and after Jane explains that there?s no envelope the manager seemed to immediately come with an attitude saying I can give you a partial discount so I said I really just want an envelope to match but if not can I get refunded then. To which she says we can?t do refunds it says on your receipt exchange only. Eventually they find me an envelope to match but left me feeling like I was such an inconvenience and the attitude from both of them was awful. I work in retail myself so always try and not be a pain hence all the apologising. All I wanted was two cards with envelopes that fit correctly. I didn?t really think that was too much to ask for. I really won?t be shopping there anytime soon with the experience I had. Especially if I see Jane or the female manager working.

Went to Clinton?s at the bury store to get some bits and I was served by a lovely lady called Jackie who was very helpful and polite and nothing was too much trouble this company is very lucky to have such a wonderful Pleasant lady working for them left the store feeling happy with my purchase and with the excellent service by Jackie I received I shall definitely return soon

I called in Clinton?s yesterday and picked up some lovely gifts and a new summer handbag for myself. I can?t speak highly enough about the two shop attendants. It was such a delight being served by two friendly, chatty and pleasant people (Lorenzo and Rebecca) We had a bit of a chat and a laugh whilst I was being served. They are worth their weight in gold! Thank you! x

Went to get some special cards today. I was helped by Lorenzo, he was absolutely amazing with me. He was extremely friendly, thoughtful and went above and beyond to help. Lorenzo was just the person I need today, as I was having a bad day. He made me feel special. So THANKYOU Lorenzo.

I'm normally served in Clinton's in the Millgate by a very helpful man with a beard (sorry that's the only way I can describe you. And the young ones are very helpful) but this wasn't my experience today 13/12/2024 I was buying wrapping paper but couldn't find the price on some of them, so I asked and was told how much they thought they were, I do like to see the price on an item in any shop when I purchase something, I felt like I was made to feel stupid because i had asked, so I bought the wrapping paper but wasn't offered receipt so asked for one, only to see I had had been charged twice for the wrapping paper. So when I queried this I got an eye roll and the difference shoved in my hand in cash, which was weird because I had paid on my card, so I said I'm sorry if I seem to have held up the queue but i do think prices should be shown, to be told you have been really rude and can you leave!!! Honestly never have I been treated like this in a shop. The people concerned really need to go on some sort of customer service training, I was upset when I left the shop.
