The optician was so friendly and gave me really good advice about contact lenses and glasses. The gentleman who spoke to me about glasses and different lenses was very informative, and was not pressurising in any way. Excellent customer service. Many thanks

Pleasant and efficient staff but let down by the fact I could not pay cash for my eye test and glasses. I had withdrawn the £350 needed from the bank yet couldn't use it. Very disappointing and I will probably look elsewhere next time, a smaller more local optician who isn't forcing a cashless society onto us

There was work being done on the front door so the shop instead of opening at 09.00 it opened at 09.25 so we had to wait 25 minutes. Not the staffs fault but an apology for the delay would have been nice?

Came in here with my husband today he was having an eye test . The place wasn't inviting and quiet unprofessional . Staff talking loud and it wasn't a welcoming environment. My husband had dye put in his eyes and when he came out he had orange dust round both his eyes . I asked for a wet wipe and the staff looked at me like I was talking in french .He had to walk round bury getting funny looks with his stained eyes . We won't be going to boots bury milgate again . Shame on you staff at boots what has happened to good customer service .

Very rude and aggressive manager at Bury, Lancs store. Overly expensive glasses that fall apart in less than 3 months and when you go for a repair you get abuse, for waiting until the manager finishes on his mobile. Your glasses are more damaged by him when you take them for repair, and if you point this out, you will be accused of being aggressive. New scratch on lense (despite paying extra for anti scratch coating, damaged paintwork, wobbly arm, and a mismatched screw that is too long, and sticking out above the framework. Paid nearly £200 for reading glasses I can't even wear.

Awful. As the advert says... should have gone to SpecsaversQuoted £30-£60 for replacing some frames. Wanted £87 when brought them in a week later. Argued the toss that they'd not quoted this figure despite 2 witnesses to the conversation. Don't enjoy being called a liar so will be going elsewhere in future

Very, very rarely have I experienced such dismal customer service as I have today at Boots Opticians, Bury.The staff member who served me clearly has an extremely limited understanding of his role and this is reinforced by his constant wandering off to "check with a colleague" which he does for prolonged periods of time.I have previously obtained safety glasses from this branch with the same staff member responsible for that order. SIX visits to correct various issues including not being able to see through them is way beyond acceptable so I must be beyond stupid to go back to buy my own glasses from them.Having the same useless member of staff serve me today set alarm bells ringing straight away. After 30 minutes of confusion, ineptitude and vanishing to "check" I walked out. Neither he nor the optician asked why I was leaving or persuaded me to stay and complete the purchase. He just said "Oh".Too Boots I would recommend you either train this person or dismiss him. He ruins your reputation and is beyond incompetant.Too the public I would say KEEP CLEAR OF THIS PLACE! Useless staff and over priced. Use an online store, they are much much cheaper and much much more reliable.

This is a joke .. I booked an appointment for today at 11.00 and I was in the queue waiting so when I got in was 7 minutes past to my appointment and the guy literally said that I was late and they couldn?t check me because I was running out of time didn?t you see me waiting there in the queue ???that so unprofessional and ridiculous. Bad experience this morning .Francesco .
